Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a shaped charge warhead for combating such armored targets that are in front of a main armor in one Air gap for this purpose have at least one active additional armor.
In the simplest case, active additional armor consists of one Explosive layer between two to the alleged direction of attack inclined plates made of steel or similar inert material and are u. a. described in DE-PS 20 08 156. Their more excellent Protective effect in attacks with conventional single charges Construction is explained in the recurring Interactions between those of the detonating explosive layer accelerated steel plates and the attacking one Shaped charge spike. Are guaranteed to the extent necessary the same, if not only those like the object to be protected Armored vehicle facing steel plate, but also the Armor vehicle facing steel plate free within sufficient limits can move. The necessary air gap between the main armor and additional armor comes with box structures for the latter realized.
Effective means against additional armoring as described above represent such warheads in front of a main charge have at least one pre-active body and function as follows: Im The first hit is usually also a shaped charge trained pre-active body the explosive layer of the additional armor Detonation. A predetermined time interval thereafter detonates the Main hollow charge. The time interval mentioned is so dimensioned that that of the detonating layer of the additional armor usually Inert plate material set at an angle to the direction of attack in the event of detonation of the main hollow charge, the range of the the latter has already left the sting. Consequently remain the sting of the main hollow charge on its way to the finish inner performance-reducing interactions with the accelerated saves inert plate material from additional armor.
Mehrfachladungssystemen ge nannter Zweckbestimmung darstellt. The object of the present invention is to target an armored target objects with active additional armor of particularly effective combat head to develop, which is a significantly simplified alternative to the known double charge or multiple charge systems ge represents the intended purpose.
This object is according to the invention by the characterizing Part of claim 1 specified features solved. One before partial design can be found in the subclaim.
From DE-PS 37 11 693 C1 it is already known, the shaped charge a steerable floor to arrange a housing part that the ogiven-shaped projectile top forms and the drive as well contains the control means of a control device. With its that entire cargo caliber occupying, massive rear borders but the same directly to the base of the spike-forming hollow cargo lining. It is therefore not a faultless one Spine training sufficient space available. Such a Rather, only arises when the component in question with the Control device breaks off.
Die erfindungsgemäß ergriffenen Maßnahmen lassen sich denk
bar einfach realisieren.
The measures taken according to the invention can be easily realized. With them, there is also the interesting possibility of converting existing ammunition of the type of a single hollow charge as required. The advantages they bring are seen in the fact that when a missile or submunition strikes a warhead according to the invention on an armored target with active additional armor
on the one hand, the impulse of this surcharge is used to tear off the additional armor from its anchorage and to press the detached additional armor against the main armor and
on the other hand, the attacking shaped charge is only initiated when the detached additional armor and the main armor - as described above - have become a compact unit.
For the former, the corresponding provides in a simple manner designed buffer zone according to the invention. The latter can be z. B. conceivable simply with a contact located behind this buffer zone for the shaped charge initiation. That is the reason Main armor facing inert plate of the active additional armor any possibility of correspondingly performance-reducing iterative Intervention in the shaped charge spike. This also explains which is why even with the warhead according to the invention excellent results can be achieved if active additional armor and main armor have different angular positions. To be found is this fact u. a. for armor in the tower area of Armored vehicles. Here the active additional armor has one flatter exhibition angle than the tower behind, all the more so to offer the highest possible protection against horizontal bombardment. Will one such additional armor from a warhead according to the invention the tower wall cleared decreases with the angle between it Surface normals and the path of the shaped charge spike inevitably Effectiveness against the latter. The above applies analogously to such active additional armor, as protection against attack from above Ammunition in the turret or roof area of battle tanks with the corresponding Angular positions to the main armor are arranged. What the example of one active additional armor for clearing effect and angular position is also true when the main armor of a target there is more than one active additional armor.
Remains to the warhead according to the invention, such as one for a guided missile or for a phase-guided submunition, in addition to note that the intended purpose as a buffer zone existing missile or submunition components can be used. Are addressed u. a. one before Hollow charge located engine, a seeker or Control and steering units. Therefore, the design of the Buffer zone does not necessarily lead to additional weight. So far necessary, the rigid connection between the buffer zone and Missiles or submunitions over the existing external structure accomplish the latter.
The trigger contact for a shaped charge initiation after clearing the active additional armor to the main armor, which is the same as before mentioned elsewhere behind the buffer zone can be used as mechanical contact or as a pressure or deformation sensor his. The only purpose of the same is before a deformation ensure the ignition of the shaped charge active part.
The features of the invention and their technical advantages result also from the following description of an embodiment in Connection with the claims and the schematic drawing.
The single figure shows a detail of a main armor 1 with an upstream active additional armor 2 in an inclined position to the presumed attack direction 4, which is common in target objects such as battle tanks. A warhead 5 according to the invention has also been shown in the form of a basic sketch.
The additional armor 2 consists in this case example of an explosive layer 2 b between two plates 2 a and 2 c made of steel or similar inert material. Originally, for known reasons, it has an air gap 3 to the main armor 1 everywhere.
The warhead 5 is one with a shaped charge 6 , an impact contact 7 assigned to it and a buffer zone 8 . The latter is upstream of the shaped charge 6 , leaving a free space 9 for perfect spike formation. The impact contact 7 is located between shaped charge 6 and buffer zone 8 .
The purpose of the buffer zone 8 is the same when impinging on the additional armor 2 - as shown - be pressed as a whole to the main armor 1 to which the main armor 1 facing the steel plate 2 2 c the add-on armor is a iterative interfering engagement in the path of the To take shaped charge spikes. The impact contact 7 has the function of only initiating the spike-forming hollow charge 6 when the additional armor 2 has come to rest against the main armor 1 .
