Der Grund hierfür ist darin zu erblicken, daß der- Klebstoff und das Lösungsmittel bei Anwendung des notwendigen Preßdrucks mehr oder minder weit in die Ausballmasse eindringt und diese versteift, abgesehen davon, daß an und für sich schon die Vereinigung von Sohle und Oberleder durch Klebstoff eine Versteifung des Schuhs mit sich bringt, die der Biegsamkeit im Wege steht. Es ist nun gefunden worden, daß man die Biegsamkeit im Boden des Schuhwerks dadurch in hervorragendem Maße herbeiführen kann, daß man an Stelle der üblichen Ausbaumassen entsprechend geschnittene Flecke aus möglichst weichem Leder verwendet. An Stelle von Leder könnten natürlich auch andere entsprechende Stoffe Verwendung finden. Dabei ist die Verwendung von Leder zum Ausballen von nicht geklebtem Schuhwerk an sich als bekannt vorausgesetzt.Balling out of glued footwear.
