Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a on the roof of a vehicle, in particular of a passenger vehicle, constantly carried luggage carrier system according to the preamble of claim 1.
Known carrier systems of this type are essentially fixed and Roof rails attached rigidly to the roof of the vehicle, which are also in the When not in use, clearly protrude from the roof contour of the vehicle in the position in which, on the one hand, the resistance coefficient of the Increase vehicle and on the other hand in a vehicle accident for driving witnessed pedestrians or two-wheelers can pose a risk of injury nen.
The object of the invention is therefore a Dachge Package carrier system of the type specified in the preamble of the claim to propose that compared to the conventional designs at least in When not in use, a reduction in the risk of injury to pedestrians and Two-wheelers and a reduced drag coefficient.
The solution to this problem arises according to the characteristics of the patent Proverb 1. According to the invention, the roof rails should be in when not in use one lying against the roof contour or even within the roof contour be adjustable position. On the one hand, this increases the resistance value of the vehicle body, which protrude from the roof contour de railing is caused, reduced and on the other hand also the risk of injury for pedestrians and two-wheelers who drive over the vehicle in an accident are hurled, significantly reduced.
Appropriate embodiments of the invention are set out in the subclaims give.
Dabei zei gen:In the drawing, two embodiments of the invention are schematic Presentation shown, which are explained in more detail below. Here zei gene:
Fig. 1 eine erste Ausführungsform eines erfindungsgemäßen Dachgepäckträgersystems in einer Ansicht von vorn mit zur Dachmitte hin klappbaren Dachrelingen und Fig. 1 shows a first embodiment of a roof rack system according to the invention in a view from the front with roof rails hinged to the center of the roof and
Fig. 2 shows a second embodiment with a collapsible in the plane of the roof rails in a Be tenansicht.
In Fig. 1 of the drawing, the roof of a vehicle, for example a passenger vehicle, is indicated by 1 , which has a luggage rack system, which is labeled as 2 overall. This luggage rack system 2 consists of two preferably extending in the vehicle longitudinal direction and each attached to the vehicle roof sides, for example bow-shaped roof lights 3 , each of which can be connected by cross struts 4 . On this cross struts luggage or the like can then be attached.
While in conventional luggage rack systems of this type, the roof rails 3 are held firmly and rigidly mounted on the vehicle roof 1 and consequently also protrude from the overall roof contour of the vehicle, indicated as 7 , when not in use, the resistance coefficient of the vehicle body, which in particular at higher driving speeds, significantly increases fuel consumption influenced, increase and also increase the risk of injury to pedestrians or two-wheelers caught by the vehicle in an automobile accident, in the system according to the invention each roof rail should be able to be adjusted when not in use into a position labeled 3 , in which it bears at least on the roof contour of the vehicle, but if possible sunk inside the outer contour of the vehicle roof. For this purpose, each roof rail 3 should be articulated in articulation points 5 on the roof 1 of the vehicle in such a way that it can be adjusted, preferably pivoted, between the position of use marked with solid lines and the position of non-use 3 drawn with broken lines. In this case, a spring arrangement can be provided, which constantly loads the roof rail for the adjustment position into the non-use position, while the use position is then fixed by the cross struts 4 inserted between the roof rails. In the imple mentation of FIG. 1, the two roof railings 3 are z. B. pivoted towards the center of the roof.
As can be seen from FIG. 1, recesses 6 can be provided on the roof for receiving, for example, bow-shaped roof rails in the non-use position. In this embodiment, the roof rails pivoted into the recesses would close flush with the outer roof contour of the vehicle, so that practically no resistance coefficient increase occurs compared to a vehicle without roof rails.
Another exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 2 is that the roof rails 3 'when not in use not in a very inner half of the outer roof contour 7 position, but only in a position adjacent to the outer roof contour 7 , for example by pivoting Ver . In this case too, the essential advantage of the invention, which consists in a decisive reduction in the risk of injury for pedestrians and two-wheelers, is essentially fulfilled. In any case, the roof rails are brought into a position where they no longer protrude sharply from the roof contour of the vehicle if the luggage rack system is not in use. A recess on the roof then did not have to be provided. In the embodiment of FIG. 2, the Dachre lingen 3 'of the roof rack system 2 ' are formed so that they can be folded in the plane spanned by them. Each roof rail 3 'has a z. B. in the vehicle longitudinal direction extending rail carrier 10 , which is articulated at its front and rear ends via joint rods 11 on holding feet 12 fastened to the vehicle roof 1 . In various positions arre animal joints 13 and 14 between the hinge rods 11 and the rail carrier 10 on the one hand and the holding feet 12 on the other hand ensure a pivoting of the roof rails 3 'between the position shown in Fig. 2 with solid lines and the position indicated by broken lines not in use.
At the rear end in the direction of the rail carrier 10 may also be provided in remaining still spoiler 15, which can cause generating roof in the non-use position of the roof rack system 2 'to improve the air flow around the driving at least.
In the use position, when the roof rack system is loaded, the effect of such spoilers is at least impaired by the load. In this state, the spoiler 15 could also be adjustable into an inactive inoperative position by appropriate devices.
Deviating from the designs shown in the drawing, the roof could railings can also be attached to the vehicle so that they are not in use position can be lowered into the roof by swiveling or sliding. This is only possible if the roof space of the vehicle is high enough having.
It should also be noted that the roof rails pair each not only in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, but also in the transverse direction can be attached to the roof.
