Description
AUSGEGEBEN AM 23. APRIL 1923ISSUED APRIL 23, 1923
Firma Carl Zeiss in Jena.Carl Zeiss company in Jena.
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein für einen Kinematographen mit gleichförmig bewegtem Film bestimmtes optisches System, das einerseits, zum Zwecke des optischen Ausgleichs der Filmbewegung, eine in Abhängigkeit von dem Filmantrieb bewegliche Reihe von Objektiven, und das anderseits, um auf einem in endlicher Entfernung liegenden Projektionsschirm ein ruhendes Bild zur Verfügung zu stellen, einThe invention relates to a for a cinematograph with uniformly moved Film specific optical system that, on the one hand, for the purpose of optical compensation of the Film movement, a series of lenses that can move depending on the film drive, and on the other hand, on a projection screen at a finite distance to provide a static image
ίο hinter diesen Objektiven fest angeordnetes Linsensystem enthält.ίο fixed behind these lenses Includes lens system.
According to the invention, on the one hand, the mutual spacing of the centers of two consecutive ones Lenses (the lens division) and the focal length and the location of the Lenses chosen so that the film images located in the radiation field at one and are virtually reproduced in the same place at a finite distance in front of the film, and on the other hand the focal length and the position of that fixed lens system chosen so that these virtual images in one and the same place on the projection screen can be mapped.
It is designed in such a way that the lens pitch to is equal to the lens pitch t /, that the focal length f 0 of the lenses is equal to the distance S 3 of the lenses from the film, and that the focal length of the fixed lens system is equal to the distance of the same from the projection screen (equal to the length of the hall ) is. The firmly arranged lens system has almost no influence on the enlargement achieved when the film images are displayed on the screen and can therefore be regarded as not present for the following consideration without any disadvantage. The small image blurring on the screen that occurs when that lens system is omitted and is caused by the fact that the projected image experiences a shift by one film image height in the direction of the lens movement, are insignificant in this consideration. If the fixed lens system is omitted, the objectives alone are used to image the film images. Since the spacing tf is usually carried out at 18.8 mm, since the mount of the lenses and the connection of the mounts also take up space, a value results for the free diameter O of the lenses, dei
If, as is appropriate to achieve high brightness, the ratio 0: f o (= 0: s a ) is selected to be approximately 1: 4, then one arrives at focal lengths f o that are considerably smaller than 4 18.8 ( about 40 mm). Since the magnification is determined by the ratio of the focal length f o to the length of the hall, such small focal lengths are not permissible in order not to obtain too large images on the screen with the usual hall lengths. You have to use lenses with focal lengths from 100 to 20.0 mm, and you have to allow values of 1:10 to 1:20 for the ratio 0: f 0 , so you get undesirably dark images on the screen. In the case of an optical system designed according to the invention, on the other hand, the fixed lens system has a great influence on the magnification. When comparing this optical system with the one discussed above, the fixed lens system must therefore be considered to be present. However, in order to obtain a perfect comparison, it is assumed that the same image blurring occurs on the screen as in the system discussed above when the lens system is omitted. Then the fixed lens system forms a composite lens system with one of the movable lenses, which can be given such a total focal length by suitable choice of the focal lengths and the positions of the individual lenses that an advantageous magnification is achieved without impairing the brightness the purchase must be made, since o ~> t / and the possibility of keeping s a small, the ratio O: s a = 1: 4 can be maintained. In the German patent 285557 is a second optical; System has been described in which the movable row of objectives is represented by a ring of lenses α , which actually image the film images located in the radiation field at the location of the image window c 1 behind the film, where h represents the fixed lens system. In order for the real image to come about at the location of c 1 , t 0 must be chosen smaller than tf , so O becomes particularly small, so that s a would have to assume an extremely small value with the assumption O: s a - 1: 4 . So that a real image is produced at the location of c 1 , the focal length f o of the lenses α must be even smaller than s a , which is associated with a very considerable optical stress on these lenses.
Contains the lighting device connected to the optical system configured according to the invention a light source and a system of lenses, so it is recommended that the light source be used in the respective effective lenses is mapped to form this system in such a way that in the vicinity of the I designed virtual images either a real or a virtual one with moving lenses Image of the light source being designed. Instead: the light source itself can also be in place these virtual images can be arranged.
Wirkt das optische System mit einer beleuch-I tungsseitigen Ausgleichvorrichtung zusammen,If the optical system interacts with a lighting-side compensation device,
Eine besonders vorteilj hafte Ausführungsform würde man erhalten, ' wenn man dabei gleichzeitig das optische System der Beleuchtungsvorrichtung so ausbilden würde, daß in der Nachbarschaft der virtuellen· Bilder ein reelles Bild der Lichtquelle entstünde.the one in dependence on the film drive i movable row of optical elements ! includes, for the purpose of the illuminating: to provide the same movement as the graphs in Fig '■■ Denden rays, so these elements row is advantageously arranged such that each two EIemente this series of spaced separating <edge during its passage through the: of the center Radiation field lies approximately at the location of those I virtual images. A particularly advantageous embodiment would be obtained if at the same time the optical system of the lighting device were designed in such a way that a real image of the light source would arise in the vicinity of the virtual images.
_For the sake of simplicity, the exemplary embodiment shown in Fig. 1 is based on the assumption that the projection screen is infinitely far away, i.e. that there is a parallel beam path between the fixed lens system and the screen. The assumption of a screen at a finite distance would only require minor changes. For the sake of clarity, the exemplary embodiment is shown on the wrong scale and contains a chain of identical objectives a 1 , a 2 , a 3 ... which can move parallel to the direction of movement of the film F. with a focal length of 46 mm and a converging lens b with a focal length of 800 mm, which is fixed behind this chain. The mutual distance between two neighboring film images is 8.8 mm, while two neighboring lenses have a mutual distance of 21.5 mm. The free aperture of the lenses is 11.5 mm 100 mm and an opening ratio of the lenses of 1:.. 3.5 Di e of the lenses designed virtual images of the Filmbildchen lie at the location B, which has mm from the lenses at a distance of 322 the speed of the lens chain is related to that of the film like the lens division (21.5) to the film division (18.8). _
Die Beleuchtungsvorrichtung enthält eine Lichtquelle L, eine Kondensorlinse c, eineIn the second exemplary embodiment illustrated by FIG. 2, the optical system is drawn in connection with the lighting device. The optical system is of the same design and designation as in Fig. 1. The lighting device contains a light source L, a condenser lens c, a
Die Kondensorlinse c bildet die Lichtquelle L an dem Ort der Linse d Lens d, a chain of identical field lenses e 1 , e 2 , e s , which is located immediately in front of the film F and migrates at the film speed in the direction of film movement . .., the two adjacent ones of which have the same mutual spacing as two adjacent film images, and a lens f fixed close to the field lenses. The condenser lens c forms the light source L at the location of the lens d
ίο ab. Through the lens d the condenser lens on the film f is displayed, where "which the film adjacent field lens chain and the lens f virtually have no effect. The underlying image of the light source d at the location of the lens is f through the lens at the location B of virtual images of the film cakes designed by the objectives a \ a 2 , a 3 ... , and this virtual image of the light source forms the respective effective field lenses in the respective
(In the drawing, which illustrates the center position of the film images, only a single field lens e 2 and a single objective a 2 are effective.) The luminous field produced by the light rays transmitted by the fixed lenses c, d and f at the location of the film is the size of a film screen. Its limitation is indicated by the diaphragm g . The lens system consisting of the movable field lenses e \ e 2 , e 3 ... and the fixed lens f could be replaced by a stationary lens system with the same refractive power, behind which a number of optical elements (e.g. a wreath by plane mirrors or by prisms), which have zero refractive power and generate the same beam deflection as the field lenses e \ e 2 , e 3 ...
The third embodiment shown by Fig. 3 differs from the one just described only in that the location B of the lenses a 1 ; a 2 , a s ... designed virtual images of the Fümbüdchen is shifted into the lens d , whereby the lens f is unnecessary. In this case, the virtual images of the film images coincide with a real image of the light source L. The fourth embodiment shown in Fig. 4 differs from that shown in Fig. 3 only in that a compensation device is also arranged on the lighting side. This compensating device contains a chain of lenses k \ Ä 2 , h s ... which are arranged close behind the lens d and move in the direction of the film movement at a speed through the radiation field which is related to the pitch of the lenses as the speed the field lenses for their division. The lens d forms part of the compensation device. Any number of other optical elements, e.g. B. a prism wreath. In any case, it is required that the elements in the central position (in which they are in the middle of the radiation field) do not deflect and that, as their distance from the center of the radiation field increases, they give the illuminating rays an increasing deflection. The size of this deflection must be such that the condenser axis is always deflected in such a way that it passes through the centers of the respective effective field lenses e \ e 2 , e 3 ... and through the centers of the respective effective objectives a \ a 2 , a 3 ... passes through.
