A direct-firing agricultural drier with a liquid fuel firing burner (27) has a fan (15) the delivery port (17) whereof is connected to the cold air feed conduit (20) of an air heating chamber (19) forming part of a hot air generator (10); the burner (27) is mounted externally of the air heating chamber (19) and has a combustion air intake (32) in fluid communication with the fan delivery port (17).
