Abstract
Description
The invention relates to cylindrical treads, in particular in engine blocks, in which the surfaces are in the form of Ceramic rifles with different from the block material Thermal expansion behavior and elastically clamped in the block are held.
According to DE-OS 36 05 918 and DE-OS 36 05 919 it is for Two- or four-stroke engines are known, with regard to them provided pistons made of pressed graphite the running surfaces for the Pistons made of the same but tread-modified or one similar material, such as siliconized carbon, silicon Carbide, silicon nitride or the like, with approximately the same heat to develop elongation behavior like that of the piston in the form of liners that can be inserted into the engine blocks. There the engine blocks are made of the usual material be, this is with the problem of different thermal expansion Coefficients of block and sleeve material connected. To solve this problem has been proposed in the aforementioned German Offenlegungsschriften struck, the cans with an elastic cover provided and in such a way that the enclosure with a slot and to be provided with approaches and these with one of the Expansion of the bushing counteracting bimetal chamber are to be held together.
This path, which is in principle walkable, has changed in various ways proven disadvantageous in this respect. With so-called "nas sen "cylinder liners are such slotted liners not applicable. The rifles can also not without further from several ring-cylindrical, by appropriate Sections held together by springs are put together to form multiple slots. As has been shown, leads also the one-sided arrangement of a slot signs of wear on the piston and on the elas table spanned liner and further would be the manufacturing and the assembly of a multi-part enclosure of the liner complex and difficult.
The invention lies based on the task, the elastic Enclosure of the actual liner with training to be provided in such a way that the sleeve surrounding the arrangement at least two compensation slots in one piece and the tra of the enclosure without the use of additional, clip-like spring elements on the liner when heated remains preserved.
This task is carried out in a generic facility by the in the mark of the Features listed for the case of so-called "wet", d. H. water-cooled barrel rifles solved while solving the same task for air-cooled engine blocks according to the characteristic features of the sibling claim 6 results.
Among the liners covered by the holding sleeve are SiSiC sleeves; Si 3 N 4 , Al 2 O 3 , ZrO 3 or the like. Materials to understand.
In the second case, the block itself is in the sense the holding sleeve according to claim 1 is formed.
The formation of cylindrical Lauflä invention Chen is not only applicable in the field of engine construction, although it is intended in particular, but also in the area of thermally highly loaded bearings, e.g. in bearing blocks made of material with different expansion behavior ten are arranged. The simplicity is shown below However, reference is made to engine liners.
The starting point for the whole is as follows: when cold the bearing bush is firmly clamped in the relevant month Torblock and pre-tensioned covers the liner. For the Operation of the engine applies to the game for known reasons between the piston and the liner as small as possible justifiable d. H. because piston and liner material the same or approximately the same elongation behavior ha ben, there is no problem in this regard. But since the Block made of conventional material in this regard and therefore has a larger coefficient of expansion, care must be taken to ensure that de support for warming, in particular high temperature, is maintained. The the logbook se in the first case spanning holding sleeve consists of the same or behaving like material Block material, but is designed according to the invention, d. H. provided with several expansion joints. To be here moving dimensions or distances to be taken into account is in the range of tenths of a millimeter and also is too take into account that the heat application of the tempered ten holding sleeve is larger from the cylinder interior and the heat flows off to the cooling water side. By this Ge conditions and through the arrangement of expansion joints, de training in connection with the holding sleeve still ge the holding sleeve follows appropriate heating of the expansion of the block, others on the other hand, the inner jacket area of the Retaining sleeve the strongest, but not a through increases the diameter of the holding sleeve in this area, since the inner circumferential expansion caused by the heating is taken up by the joints, which means that the the liner with less stretching is held in the holding rifle retains. On the whole, the bridging act Expansion joint enclosures equally as spring elements.
Of course, the same relationships also apply to independent variant, in which the liner immediately bar enclosing block itself forms the holding sleeve, but for which it is also necessary that such Expansion joints exist when the cohesion between block and liner should be guaranteed.
When arranging several or more than two strains joints, these are advantageously even on the circumference the holding sleeve arranged distributed. When arranging outer circumferential holding flanges on the holding sleeve, the They are usually necessary to keep the holding sleeve in the water coolable engine block fitted and sealed to arrange can, these retaining flanges are also from the expansion joint penetrate to the elasticity of the bearing bush in Do not affect the area of these holding flanges. Fer ner is useful the holding sleeve at the bottom with egg a liner lining facing inwards hen that can run all around as a collar or in shape several more or less wide noses can be formed can.
The expansion joints have an opening in both cases width of about 0.1 to 2 mm, depending on the inside diameter of the Retaining sleeve, dimensioned. Furthermore, the expansion joints can partly into a joint area larger in cross section be trained what the tendency of the holding sleeve accommodates even better, with no inner diameter extension, but the bearing bush continue to span firmly.
Es zeigt schematischThe cylindrical treads according to the invention are after following based on the graphic representation of execution Examples based on engine block liners explained in more detail. Fig. 6 einen Schnitt längs Linie VI-VI in Fig. 5. Fig. 6 shows a section along line VI-VI in Fig. 5.
As can be seen from FIGS . 1 and 2, a holding sleeve 3 (made of, for example, Al or GG) is arranged between the sleeve 1 , which is a cylindrical sleeve made of ceramic material (for example SiSiC) this 3 Haltbüch is provided with six open only against the liner 1 , extending over the entire length of the sleeve, axially parallel expansion joints. These expansion joints 4 are bridged on the block side by a corresponding joint enclosure 6 , that is, the entire holding bush 3 consists of one piece, which has inwardly open grooves in the form of the expansion joints 4 and outward axially parallel rib-like webs (joint surrounds) in which the joints 4 extend. The retaining sleeve 3 is in the same way and as shown in Fig. 1, as the previous so-called "wet" liners in the cylinder block 2 , for which the relevant connecting walls 10, 10 'of the cylinder block 2 are provided with corresponding openings with circular cross sections , as is illustrated by the half-cuts of FIGS. 2 and 3. The seal against the dashed indicated water-bearing space 11 is carried out in a known manner by suitable sealing. As can be seen, the holding sleeve 3 is provided with two holding flanges 5, 5 ' for such use in a cylinder block 2 , which are also penetrated by the expansion joints 4 on the inner circumference. At the lower end, the holding sleeve 3 , as can be seen from Fig. 1, see ver with an inboard liner base 7 . If several cylinders are arranged in a cylinder block 2 , this is shown with the cylinder head 12 and head gasket 13 removed according to FIG. 4.
In FIGS. 5 and 6 are for corresponding parts the entspre sponding reference numerals with index 'is provided and, in principle, the same applies as vorbeschrie ben for this embodiment, with the only difference that in this case provided with Kühlrip pen 8 provided cylinder block 2' itself directly the holding sleeve 3 ' for the ceramic liner 1' forms. In order to accommodate the tendency of a circumferential expansion of the holding bush 3 in the sense of the double arrows 14 according to FIGS . 2 and 3 without enlarging the inner diameter, the joints 4 ' , and this also applies to the joints of the holding bush 3 according to FIGS . 1 and 2, such as Darge represents, be designed such that they merge into a cross-sectionally larger joint interior 9 , which extends in the joint enclosure 6 ' , the wall thickness of which should correspond at least to the wall thickness of the holding sleeve 3' .
As has been shown in tests carried out, this design principle works properly, that is, in the cases the support contact remains through the bushing 3 or 3 ' for the less expanding bushing 1' because by that the inner circumference of the bushing sen expands, but this expansion is not reflected in an enlargement of the inner diameter, but rather in a narrowing of the available joints 4 or 4 ' , but on the other hand the holding sleeve also its contact with the block material in the case of the exemplary embodiments according to FIGS . retains 1 and 2.
The holding bushes 3, 3 ' to be imparted bias, which is also essential, is achieved by including the ceramic liner during die casting of the holding bushes (for the formation of the expansion joints, cross-sectional corresponding pullable core strips are to be seen beforehand), whereby at Cooling of the cast results in the preload, or that one pulls the prefabricated holding sleeve in the heated state and shrinks it with cold, which of course requires correspondingly machined contact surfaces 15 .
