Abstract
The autofocus device has an auxiliary illumination beam path (12) which is reflected in or out of the beam path of the microscope. The auxiliary lighting is generated by two light sources (13a, 13b) which are arranged next to one another in a plane conjugate to the pupil of the microscope objective and which are switched alternately. A detector (29) in a hatch of the auxiliary lighting beam path bounded on one side by a diaphragm (24) serves to detect the measuring light beam.
Description
In the autofocus device according to the invention is an electronic arrangement is provided in which the signals from the receiver or receivers are processed in time with the alternating light sources. It is expedient to provide a further electronic circuit in which offset savings of adjustable magnitude are superimposed on the processed signal. It can thus be achieved that the autofocus device either by a predetermined amount over or sets the focal plane below 4 without the need to move optical elements, which is advantageous for objects that are larger, for example Have height differences.
In diesem Fall ist es besonders zweckmäßig, daß die Einstellung der Offsetspannungen mit der Umschaltung des Objektivrevolvers gekoppelt ist, da dies den Benutzer der Mühe enthebt, bei jedem Objektiv visuell erst einmal die Ebene zu bestimmen, auf die die Autofokuseinrichtung einstellen solLIn addition, differences in the focus difference between the light of the auxiliary lighting and the normal microscopic lighting can be corrected in this way, based on differences in the chromatic correction of the objects used in different scales. In In this case, it is particularly useful that the setting of the offset voltages with the switching of the Objective nosepiece is coupled, since this removes the trouble for the user to visually determine the plane to which the autofocus device should adjust for each objective
Further advantages of the invention emerge from the following description of exemplary embodiments of the invention with reference to the drawings.

B. The part of the microscope located above the intermediate image plane, ie z. B. eyepieces etc. are not shown here
Between the objective 1 and the tube lens 2 there is a semitransparent splitter mirror 5, via which the from an illumination beam path emanating from a microscope light source 6 into the observation beam path is reflected. This splitter mirror S can be designed so that its reflectivity for the wavelength of the light of the auxiliary lighting to be described for the autofocus device is greater than for the light of the "normal" microscope illumination emanating from the incandescent lamp 6.
The illumination beam path of the microscope is shown here in a simplified manner. It includes a collector 7. an IR cut filter 8, a field diaphragm 9 and an auxiliary lens 10.
A semitransparent beam splitter 15 is arranged between the luminous field diaphragm 9 and the auxiliary lens 10, Via which the auxiliary illumination beam path of the autofocus device combined to form a structural unit 12 is reflected into the illumination beam path of the microscope.

Dieser hindurchtretende Teil wird von der linse 17A beam splitter 15 arranged behind the diaphragm 14 allows about 50% of the radiation from the light sources 13 to pass. Diese Schaltung 20 enthält einen Oszillator und eine Treiberschaltung, durch die die beiden Lichtquellen 13a und 136 alternierend eingeschaltetThe detector 19 is connected to an electronic circuit 20.
