Abstract
Developer compsns. with a pH of 10-12 comprises water, kalkschutz (sic) (I), preservative, alkali, accelerator, anti-fogging agent, and a combination of 1-phenyl-3-pyrazolidone (II) and hydroquinone (III) as developers. The compsns. contain 0.02-0.4% (II) and 0.005-0.59% (III), the (II):(III) wt. ratio being 1:0.075-4. The compsns. are esp. useful for imagewise development of document films. The compsns. may also contain acetone to reduce contrast. Suitable compsns. comprise 0.5-6 g/l (I), 10-100 g/l Na2SO3, 0.2-4 g/l (II), 0.05-16 g/l (III), 10-100 g/l CaCO3, 0-100 g/l urea, 0-10 g/l kBr and 0-200 ml/l of a 0.05% 6-nitrobenzimidazolium nitrate soln.
