Abstract

For the clear functional marking, differentiation and grouping of electrical cables and of lines for electrical signals, for gases and fluids, according to the invention, tags are used which can be clipped on, may carry an inscription and - fitted together in various basic colours - form colour-combined tag groups which allow simple visual designation of the cables and lines. The marking tags may be connected to one another by means of brackets for uniform alignment of the tags themselves and, if required, their cables/lines. The marking system is supplemented by rings which can be clipped on and can be fitted together in the same way as the inscribed tags to form colour combinations. However, they differ therefrom in that they are not provided for an inscription. Instead, they carry information only by means of colours and, if required, by simple characters and symbols. They may therefore be of smaller and cheaper design, which favours their use in cable/line ducts. The marking rings may - as described - also be used for length marking of cables/lines. In addition, they support the reliability of the overall marking system, since their colour combination must be identical to that of the marking tags, and accidental incorrect fitment can thus be detected quickly.
