Zangenartiges Werkzeug zum Vernieten der Enden von Metallbandumschnürungen
an Kisten, Paketen .u. dgl. Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein zangenartiges
Werkzeug zum Vernieten der Enden von Metallbandurnschnürungen an Kisten, Paketen
u, dgl.
Pliers-like tool for riveting the ends of metal straps
on boxes, packages, etc. Like. The present invention relates to a forceps-like
Tool for riveting the ends of metal banding on boxes, packages
u, like. The riveting of the mentioned 1Vletallbandenden formed so far usually
in such a way that a hole is pushed through from one side by means of a mandrel
and then from the other side the perforated edges pressed through by means of a
the second mandrel were twisted outwards and pressed down. The two thorns
stood in the way here.
According to the present invention, this disadvantage is avoided by
that each of the "jaws of the pliers carries a mandrel, one or both of which
Spikes are movably arranged in their jaws so that they can be pushed through
of the hole from one side and to depress the hole edges from the other side
the tape ends to be united alternately come to use. As a result of moving
Arrangement of one or both thorns; they can no longer be mutually exclusive
hinder the work.
In the drawing is. the new tool in several forms
shown. In the first embodiment (Fig. I and 2) a pair of pliers is illustrated,
whose two jaws i 'and l are guided in parallel. The upper jaw k has the
replaceable mandrel e, which when closing the pliers (Fig. 2) in a corresponding
Opening d of the lower jaw engages. In the latter there is now a second thorn
q, because the recess r corresponds to the first jaw. As long as the
Pliers is open, the .dorn q is sunk in the lower jaw L, so that one
the two metal strips to be connected to each other comfortably in the pliers up to the
Can introduce stop bar n. If you now press the pliers together, it takes place
the perforation by means of the mandrel e according to the main application. But at the same time moved
When the pliers are closed, the second mandrel q automatically moves forward (Fig. 2)
in that -er from the front end of a double lever mounted in the lower jaw
s is detected, the other end of which with a spring attached to the upper jaw
t comes into contact and is thereby pressed down. When opening the pliers
the mandrel d retracts automatically into the lower jaw, be it through
Dead weight, be it through a special spring force. \ uninehr can be opened with the
Pliers bring the metal straps that are perforated together over the mandrel q. If you can now
the pliers closes again, the advancing mandrel q
L-mortaring and pressing down the N-metal bead around the edges of the hole. The pre
and backward movement of the mandrel q could possibly also take place inevitably,
by connecting the rear end of the lever s with the upper jaw in this way or in
it is guided in such a way that it is inevitable when opening and closing the pliers
moved up and down.
Fig. 3 zeigt die Zange in auseinandergenommenenl
In I# ig.
5 ist der betreffende Zangenschenkel wieder aufgesetzt. Fig.4 und 6 zeigen die zugehörigen
Oberabsichten.
In Fig: 3 to 6 the second embodiment is illustrated, in which the two mandrels c and q are not offset on the two jaws k and'l, but are opposite one another. In Fig. 3 and 5 two different positions of the mandrels are shown. 3 shows the pliers in a disassembled state, in that the one of the pliers legs carrying the lower jaw L is lifted off after the central bonnet has been loosened, so that the inner gear is exposed. 4 and 6 show the associated top intentions. So that the two opposing spikes c and d do not collide with one another when the "length" is closed, they are arranged on a common ring which is rotatably mounted in a corresponding annular groove in the pliers A handle v. The latter can be used to turn the ring back and forth in such a way that the mandrel e or the mandrel q alternately emerges from the corresponding jaw and the other mandrel withdraws at the same time fold the handle v (Fig. 4 and 6) and bring it into engagement in corresponding grooves, whereby the ring with the thorns in the two buildings smoke positions is recorded.
According to FIGS. 7 and 8, the two mandrels c and (l could also be attached to a
common ring washer w 'attached at one point of its circumference with
the recess x "can be seen and worked out in the shape of the thorns.
