That. Dodec-11-en-1-yl derivative of the general formula I, at which R stands for an acetoxy radical, was determined by Bestmann and coworkers (Chem. Phys. Lipids, 1979, 24, 335) synthetically produced. The authors described their method with reference to unpublished test results disclosed. A naturally occurring substance that is very difficult to access, the octadec-11- -en-1-ylacetate, used. This connection was made using a device requiring a very high cost and only as a laboratory semi-microprocess convertible ozonolysis into 11-acetoxyundecanol, from which compound the desired product by means of a Wittig reaction means reaction with dsm corresponding Alkylidenephosphoren was obtained in low yields.
It was a mixture of 6.46 g (0.03 mol) of pyridinium chlorochromate 0.32 g (0.004 mol) of anhydrous sodium acetate and 50 cm ^ of anhydrous dichloromethane a solution of 4 x j 32 g (0.02 mol) of 11-hydroxyund ethyl oanoate in 10 cnr added to anhydrous dichloromethane. That. Reaction mixtures were in an inert gas atmosphere (in nitrogen or argon) stirred or shaken at room temperature for 2.5 hours.
The mixture was treated with 300 cm * anhydrous ether and the essential solution has been decanted. This measure was made using little anhydrous Ether repeated several times. The combined ethereal solutions were filtered through bentonite and reduced under reduced pressure The pressure was concentrated and the residue was subjected to vacuum distillation. So 3.6 g (84% of theory) 10-SOrmyldecansäuremethylester with a boiling point of 111 to 113 ° C / O, 3 mm Hg and an njp value of 1.6695.
