Abstract

1. Drive means for actuating doors or gates (1) with a polyphase a.c. motor (4, 5, 6) wherein a sensor device (11) for influencing the drive means is provided in the region of the door or gate and the motor (4, 5, 6) can be regulated as regards its rotational speed or torque by altering the magnitude and/or phase of the voltage and/or current in at least one winding (6) fed separately from the others from the power circuit, characterised in that at least one sensor designed as a temperature sensor is provided at a point shielded from the wind, and at least one further sensor, likewise designed as a temperature sensor (11), is provided at a point in the region of the door or gate exposed to the wind, and that the motor (4, 5, 6) can be adjusted as regards its rotational speed according to a signal formed from the difference in the signals from the temperature sensors.
