Den Gegenstand der Erfindung bildet eine Sicherung an Gashähnen aller Art, durch welche der Hahn bei jedesmaligem öffnen stets in einer von vornherein bestimmten, z. B. halbgeöffneten Stellung erhalten wird, so daß es nicht möglich ist, ihn zufällig und unfreiwillig zu verstellen, z. B. ganz zu öffnen. Das letztere kann aber dennoch, wenn dies ausdrücklich beabsichtigt ist, durch Lösen der Verriegelungsvorrichtung ermöglicht werden. Die Vorrichtung besteht aus einem am Kücken des Hahnes schleifenden Riegel und einer in ihren zusammenwirkenden Teilen auf Riegel und Kücken verteilten Klinkvorrichtung, die bei einer gewissen Drehung des Kückens zum Schluß kommt, so daß das Kücken gegen jede weitere Vorwärts- oder Rückwärtsdrehung gesichert ist; erst nach Lösen der Verriegelung von Hand ist eine weitere Verstellung des Hahnes möglich.
