Description
SolarflachkoliektorSolar flat collector
The invention relates to a solar flat collector for domestic water heating, which is provided with transparent thermal insulation on its light-facing side.
Solar collectors for domestic hot water preparation in residential and public buildings are offered and used in practice in various technical variants, for example as complex vacuum flat-plate collectors with specially coated absorbers. Nevertheless, they have not yet been able to establish themselves on a really large scale in Central European climatic conditions due to high investment costs and insufficient efficiency. The efficiency of flat-plate collectors is mainly limited by the radiation losses on the cover plate of the collector. In order to possibly reduce heat emission, various transparent thermal insulations between the cover of the collector and the actual absorber have therefore already been proposed. DE 42 22 433, for example, shows a solution with small glass panels that form a large number of honeycomb-shaped channels to absorb the radiation energy with as little loss as possible. DE 28 35 371 has already described transparent thermal insulation elements which are arranged between a cover plate facing the radiation and a second support plate arranged above the absorber and which preferably consist of hexagonal honeycombs. DE 38 24 759 also describes a solar collector which has a transparent honeycomb or channel structure arranged under the cover plate. However, for maximum operating temperatures of up to 200 0 C, this collector design requires a cavity between the transparent cover and the absorber in which a negative pressure of between 2000 and 5000 Pa prevails, so that special support rings must support the covering glass plate against the external air pressure.

In DE 43 01 863 it was already proposed to arrange capillary glass as transparent thermal insulation between two panes of glass above the absorber. The disadvantage of this solution is the need for a second closed glass surface with corresponding radiation losses above the absorber.
The invention is therefore based on the problem of arranging a transparent thermal insulation between the collector cover and the absorber in such a way that the absorbed thermal energy is fed to the absorber with almost no loss, without negative pressure having to prevail in the space remaining between the thermal insulation and the absorber.
The problem is solved by the features mentioned in claim 1. The
Further claims show advantageous embodiments of the invention.
As shown in the attached drawing, glass tubes that are open at the bottom are arranged in the tightest possible packing under the glass pane that covers the collector from the outside, so that the surface of the glass pane is completely filled by the circular cross-sections of the tubes. While the glass tubes are firmly attached under the glass plate, they end freely at a small distance above the absorber. Their dimensions are selected according to the invention so that the ratio between the diameter and length of each tube results in a total value for the heat transfer coefficient of k < 1.0 W/m 2 K, since no air movement and thus no heat exchange can take place in the tubes due to their small cross-section. The incident radiation energy is guided through the tubes directly to the absorber without any further losses, so that they act as a "radiation trap". Normal pressure prevails in the space between the tubes and the absorber. Depending on the incidence of light and/or intended use, the tubes can be aligned either vertically or at a defined angle to the glass plate.
In dem an Hand beigefügter Zeichnung dargestellten Beispiel haben die Röhrchen aus Spezialgas bei einer Länge von ca. 80mm einen DurchmesserIn the example shown in the attached drawing, the tubes made of special gas have a length of approx. 80mm and a diameter

10 mm and a wall thickness of 0.1 - 0.2 mm, resulting in an optimal k-value of < 1.0. The tubes are connected to the collector cover using a special adhesive that is temperature-resistant in the range of seasonal outside temperature fluctuations (between min. -40 0 C and max. +50 0 C), whereby the adhesive connection can be fixed at any angle that best suits the respective installation case. In the small gap between the cover and the absorber, which in the example is approx. 10 mm, there is normal pressure.
Bei Einsatz der erfindungsggemäßen Lösung ergeben sich gegenüber den bekannten Flachkollektoren mit transparenten Wärmedämmelementen folgende Vorteile:When using the solution according to the invention, the following advantages arise compared to the known flat collectors with transparent thermal insulation elements:
- Die Dimensionierung und Packung der Glasröhrchen sind erfindungsgemäß so gewählt, daß die einfallende Strahlungsenergie ausschließlich durch diese unmittelbar und nahezu verlustlos zum Absorber geführt wird;- The dimensions and packing of the glass tubes are chosen according to the invention so that the incident radiation energy is guided exclusively through them directly and almost without loss to the absorber;
- By using high-temperature-resistant materials, operating temperatures of up to 500 0 C can be achieved without the need for a vacuum or negative pressure between the transparent thermal insulation and the absorber, so that manufacturing, assembly and maintenance costs can be further reduced.
- Der Einbau der Flachkollektoren kann je nach Sonneneinstrahlung sowohl auf beliebig geneigten Dächern als auch in Form senkrechter Fassadenelemente erfolgen, da die Glasröhrchen in einem beliebigen Winkel unter der Abdeckung befestigt werden können.- Depending on the level of solar radiation, the flat collectors can be installed on roofs with any incline or as vertical facade elements, since the glass tubes can be attached at any angle under the cover.
- Durch seinen hohe Wirkungsgrad ist der erfindungsgemäße Flachkollektor sowohl für die Brauchwassererwärmung als auch für den Einsatz in solaren Klimatisierungsanlagen, zur Erzeugung von Prozeßwärme für Industrieprozesse und zur Umsetzung von Wärmeenergie in mechanische Energie geeignet.- Due to its high efficiency, the flat collector according to the invention is suitable both for domestic water heating and for use in solar air conditioning systems, for generating process heat for industrial processes and for converting thermal energy into mechanical energy.
