Dieses Problem wird bei einigen Kinderwagen und Karrentypen unter Zurhilfenahme eines Hilfsmittels überwunden. Es handelt sich dabei um zwei identische Winkelpressprofile, die rückseitig mit Klemmaussparungen versehen sind. Diese Aussparungen ermöglichen ein Arretieren der Winkelpressprofile dem jeweiligen Höhenbedarf entsprechend. Höhenunterschiede an möglichen Verbindungspunkten der verschiedenen Kinderwagen und Karrentypen werden auf diese Art ausgeglichen. Dieses Hilfsmittel nivelliert also unterschiedliche Montagehöhen des Verbindungsmechanismus.
