The invention relates to a cleaning device for filters and filter mats, wherein air jet nozzles are provided that can be moved along the filters or filter mats.
The cleaning device enables the semi-automatic cleaning of cylindrical and flat gas or liquid filters and filter mats.
Filters are used as protective mechanisms against contaminants in both gases and liquids. In work machines, filters in countless types and sizes are used as air filters to clean the intake air for combustion engines and as fuel filters. In industrial plants, filters are used in a wide variety of applications - dust extraction systems, air conditioning systems, etc.
The degree of cleaning is better with filters that are already in use, i.e. filters that have been in use for some time and have built up a layer of dirt, than with newly installed filters. However, the dirt buildup on the filter has the opposite effect: the possible throughput volume decreases and the pressure loss increases.
Every filter can be operated without any problems within the pressure loss ranges specified by the filter manufacturer. However, if the maximum permissible pressure loss, usually defined as the differential pressure between the filter inlet and filter outlet, is exceeded, this means that the filter must be removed and cleaned or replaced with a new filter.
Je nach Größe der Filter ist der Austausch jedoch mit/relativ hohen Kosten verbunden, was dazu führen kann, daß beiDepending on the size of the filter, replacing it is associated with/relatively high costs, which can lead to
5If the machine is used for longer than is technically intended, it may consume more fuel than is necessary, which may even lead to damage to the machine if the machine is used for too long.

In order to maximize the overall service life under optimal conditions, it is necessary to clean the filter media. This means that filters that have already been cleaned have better cleaning levels from the start than new filters.
According to the current state of the art, such filters are cleaned either by blowing them off manually using a blow-out gun with compressed air or with nozzles that are guided in a screw shape along the filter wall, thereby blowing off foreign substances.
Furthermore, from DE 40 09' 552 Al and DE 41 09 734 Al a rotary air nozzle for cleaning ring filters has become known, which is mounted on a central bearing and serves to blow air onto the inner surface of filter cartridges for cleaning.
According to the present invention, a cleaning device is to be provided that is not only suitable for cleaning cartridge filters from the inside, but that can also be used to clean any type of filter inside and out semi-automatically. The semi-automatic refers to the insertion of the filters for the cleaning and testing process by hand, while the cleaning and testing of the cleaned filter itself should be carried out automatically.
The present invention is characterized in that a rotating base plate is provided in a cleaning chamber on which the filter can be fastened, that an inner cleaning device that can be moved along the inside of the filter

düse und eine entlang der Filteraußenseite verfahrbare äußere Reinigungsdüse vorgesehen sind und daß die Reinigungskammer eine Absaugung aufweist.nozzle and an external cleaning nozzle that can be moved along the outside of the filter are provided and that the cleaning chamber has an extraction system.
The cleaning process is carried out using two multi-jet cleaning nozzles pressurized with compressed air. One of the nozzles is height-adjustable in the inner part of the filter, the second nozzle is mounted on the outside of the filter and is also height-adjustable, which ensures optimal cleaning in both jet directions.
Normally, the flow direction of the filter, especially in the case of air filters, is from the outside to the inside. Due to these operating conditions, the filter becomes dirty on the outside or, depending on the type and degree of contamination, this can lead to the formation of crusts. In these cases, the layer of contamination is loosened and broken up by the nozzle specially arranged on the outside and can therefore be removed much more easily and efficiently by the internal air flow.
The pulsating air flow causes the filter lamellae to vibrate, causing alternating tensile and compressive stresses to occur on the outside, causing the dirt particles and any encrustations adhering to the filter wall to fall off and the adhering residues to be removed extremely effectively.
The filter or filter mat to be cleaned is fixed to a rotating base plate using a clamping device.
Die auf je einem Vertikalschlitten aufgebautenThe rotating base plate is driven by a speed-adjustable motor drive via a friction disk to rotate in a manner that corresponds to the filter diameter. The
The inner and outer cleaning nozzles are moved vertically in synchronization with the rotation so that a pulsating air flow reaches every part of the filter to be cleaned.
This cleaning cycle can be carried out automatically several times in succession, so that perfect cleaning is achieved for all possible operating conditions. The pulsating air currents cause the filter surfaces to vibrate, which practically provides additional mechanical support for the cleaning process.
The dust-laden air generated when cleaning the filters is extracted via a cleanable exhaust air filter and, depending on local conditions, either discharged directly into the environment or via a chimney system.
Exhaust air cleaning includes the dedusting of the dust-laden compressed air required for filter cleaning and released during the cleaning process.
The cleaning process is carried out continuously throughout the entire filter cleaning process. Before the cleaning process begins, the extraction fan is switched on and creates a slight negative pressure in the cleaning chamber. The extraction takes place at the lowest point in the chamber, which means that the falling dust particles are always sucked in.
The suction power of the fan for exhaust air cleaning corresponds to approximately 4 times the volume of air used for filter cleaning. This ensures that no dust pollution occurs in the immediate vicinity of the cleaning machine during the filter cleaning process.

The cleaned exhaust air can either be released into the room in which the machine is installed or be discharged to the outside via a chimney system.
The cleaned exhaust air has a maximum total dust content of 1 mg/m 3. The relevant applicable regulations for employee protection must be observed for discharge into the immediate environment.
&iacgr;&ogr; If the water is discharged to the outside, all applicable regulations for air pollution control are met and this can be done without special permits or additional requirements.
In order to ensure proper and traceable use of the filters, it is recommended to check the cleaned filter immediately after the cleaning process and to document this check.
This test can be carried out in the machine, depending on the level of expansion of the cleaning machine. To do this, the filter must be removed from the cleaning chamber and placed on the intake flange in the test chamber. The relevant data must be entered into the control system and can be saved in the control system even if it is used multiple times. The filter is checked for leaks and pressure loss. The result can be printed out in the form of a test report.
Betriebsdruck von 10 bar.■In the present embodiment, a power connection of 380 V/50 Hz, protected with 16 A and an air compressor with a suction capacity of approx. 500 ltr/min and a maximum operating pressure of 10 bar are required to connect the filter cleaning machine.

Inside the cleaning chamber 27, which is essentially sealed to the outside, there is a rotating base plate 5, which can be rotated by a motor 31 arranged outside the cleaning chamber 27 by means of a belt or friction drive 3 2. The base plate 5 can be blocked by means of a lock 2 6.
The filter 29 and 29' to be cleaned is shown in two different dimensions. The filter is attached to the base plate 5 using a clamping device not shown here. A cylindrical filter as well as a flat filter or another curved filter can be attached.
The suction takes place via the relatively thick suction pipe 6, in which a relatively thin compressed air pipe 11 is inserted and leads to the cleaning nozzles 3. Together with the pipes 6 and 11, the inner cleaning nozzle 3 and the inner suction 28 can be arranged according to the arrow 34 over the entire
Höhe des Filters 29 oder 29' bewegt werden. Die Druckluft kommt vom Druckluftbehälter 15.Height of the filter 29 or 29'. The compressed air comes from the compressed air tank 15.
Die Druckluft gelangt über den Druckluftanschluß 10 zu den Reinigungsdüsen 8.The cleaning chamber 27 also contains the outer cleaning nozzle 8, whereby the nozzle head shown here has nozzles pointing diagonally upwards and downwards. This nozzle arrangement is surrounded by a suction pipe 35. The arrangement of the combined outer cleaning nozzle 8 with the suction pipe 35 can be guided over the entire height of the filter 27 or 27' to be cleaned, whereby the cleaning chamber 27 can be sealed using known devices such as a sleeve or sealing curtain 36. The arrangement sits on a vertical slide 7 and the movement is connected via the horizontal leg 37 to the combined arrangement of suction pipe 6 and inner cleaning nozzle 3. The outer cleaning nozzle 8 and the outer suction pipe 35 can be pushed inwards or further outwards according to the arrow 38 depending on the dimensions of the filter. The compressed air reaches the cleaning nozzles 8 via the compressed air connection 10.
At the deepest point of the cleaning chamber 27 there is a central suction 4, which leads to a collector 39. The suction hoses from the suction pipe 6 and the suction pipe 35 also lead into this collector 39. On the back of the suction pipe 35 there is also an opening for room suction 9.
Diese Filterprüfeinrichtung ist im dargestellten Ausfüh-The fan 14 is provided to generate the necessary negative air pressure for all extractions, which sucks in air via the intake pipe 40 and the filter device 20 with dust compartment 23 via the main intake pipe 41, which opens into the collector 3 9. rungsbeispiel. für zylinderförmige Filter eingerichtet und umfaßt eine untere Halterung 43 und 'eine obere Halterung 44, die beide dicht auf den Filter aufsetzbar sind.example. for cylindrical filters and comprises a lower holder 43 and an upper holder 44, both of which can be placed tightly on the filter.
The operation of the device has already been explained in detail above. In addition, it should be mentioned that when the filter 29 or 29' is placed on the base plate 5, the dimensions of the filter are determined by a sensor. The height of the filter is determined by a further sensor on the outer cleaning nozzle 8 or the associated suction device. The rotation speed for the base plate 5 and the displacement path for the two cleaning nozzles and suction devices can be set depending on this . The compressed air flows in a pulsating manner from both cleaning nozzles 3 and 8 against the inner and outer surface of the filter and at the same time the air with the dirt particles is sucked out via the suction devices 28 and 35. Both cleaning nozzles and suction devices are moved once or several times over the entire height of the filter, while the filter is rotated. This ensures that the entire filter surface is thoroughly cleaned. Falling dirt particles are removed via the suction device 4. Dust particles that escape despite the seal of the cleaning chamber 27 are sucked away by the room extraction system 9. All of these air streams from the extraction systems that are loaded with dirt particles pass through the main suction pipe 41 into the dust compartment 23 and through the filter arrangement 20 and the control flap 19 to the fan 14, from where the cleaned air is blown out via the air outlet 45.
Der auftretende Saugdruck bzw. dessen Abfall istIf the cleaned filter is to be checked for cleaning level or possible damage, it is clamped tightly in the filter testing device 42 between the lower and upper brackets 43, 44, and negative pressure is applied to the inserted filter using the control flap 19. The suction pressure that occurs or its drop is
