Aufwendig ist nach meinen Erkenntnissen die Montage einer Türzarge mittels Montageschaum. Durch Ausquellen verschmutzt Montageschaum in vielen Fällen die Nut zur Aufnahme der Zierbekleidung sowie Tapeten und Fußbodenbeläge. Zudem kommt der Schaum oft mit der Haut oder der Bekleidung des Monteurs in Berührung. Bei der Verarbeitung wird FCKW freigesetzt. Weiter ist bis zur Aushärtung des Schaumes eine Wartezeit bei der weiteren Montage erforderlich. Durch die Aussteifung der Zarge ist der dahinter liegende Raum nur schwer oder gar nicht zu erreichen. Ein weiterer Nachteil ist, daß der Monteur eine Anzahl von Keilen unterschiedlicher Größe mit sich führen muß, um sie als Gegendruck zwischen Zarge und Laibung einzupassen. Eine saubere Demontage erfordert einen erheblichen Zeitaufwand. Die anschließende Neumontage erfordert wieder mindestens den gleichen Zeitaufwand wie bei der Erstmontage.
