Erfindungsgemäß wird die Aufgabe dadurch gelöst, daß unter Ausnutzung der vom Gebläserad beim Lauf erzeugten Axialkraft gebläseradseitig ein Lager angeordnet ist, das von seinem Aufbau her eine axiale Anstellkraft erfordert, wie z.B. ein Schrägkugellager und keine zusätzliche Einrichtung zur Aufbringung einer axialen Anstellkraft vorhanden ist.
Dabei kann es vorteilhaft sein, daß auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite ein Gleitlager angeordnet ist. Zusätzlich ist es wichtig, daß bei Oberkopfbetrieb die vom Gebläserad erzeugte Axial kraft größer ist als die Gewichtskraft des Rotors. Dieser Aufbau hat zum entscheidenden Vorteil, daß eine separate Einrichtung zur Aufbringung der axialen Anstellkraft entfallen kann. Nachstehend ist ein Ausführungsbeispiel beschrieben.
