Solche Klemmbacken mit einem unteren Stützsteg können allerdings nur an den Eckbereichen eingesetzt werden, während für eine zusatzliehe Halterung der Platten zwischen den Eckbereichen Klemmvorrichtungen ohne einen solchen Stützsteg verwendet werden müssen. Für die Befestigung großer Platten müssen daher unterschiedliche Ausführungen solcher Klemmvorrichtungen einmal ohne Stützsteg und zum anderen mit Stützsteg eingesetzt werden. Dies erfordert nicht nur einen zusätzlichen Herstellungsaufwand, sondern auch erhöhte Lagerkosten und einen höheren Montageaufwand. Um solche Klemmvorrichtungen für die zu haltenden Platten sowohl in üblicher Weise an einer Stelle mit Abstand von den Plattenecken als auch an den Plattenecken selbst anzuordnen und in diesem letzteren Falle auch eine zusätzliche Lagesicherung der Platte zu ermöglichen, ist es weiterhin bekannt, zwischen den beiden Klemmbacken der Klemmvorrichtung nahe dem einen oder dem anderen Seitenrand der Klemmbacken ein lose einsetzbares Plättchen vorzusehen. Hierdurch wird jedoch nur eine unzureichende Lagesicherung der Platte erreicht, insbesondere wenn das Plättchen nur einseitig in eine Ausnehmung an einer der beiden Klemmbacken eingesetzt wird. Selbst wenn sich das Plättchen mit seinem gegenüberliegenden Rand an der anderen Klemmbacke abstützt, besteht die Gefahr, daß es entweder bei unsachgemäßer Montage oder durch das Eigengewicht der Platte aus der Ausnehmung an der einen Klemmbacke herausrutscht und seine Stützfunktion nicht mehr erfüllen kann.
