Emblemschilder von Kraftfahrzeugherstellern werden heutzutage drucktechnisch mit hohem Qualitätsniveau hergestellt. Es gibt jedoch nur wenige Möglichkeiten, die Emblemschilder hochfest mit einer Abdeckung für ein Gassack-Rückhaltesystem zu verbinden. Üblicherweise werden die gedruckten Emblemschilder daher mit einem Grundträger verklebt. Erfindungsgemäß wird eine Plakette zur Befestigung von Emblemschildern an einer Abdeckung für Gassackrückhaltesysteme bereitgestellt. Die Plakette besitzt einen Grundträger, der auf seiner Rückseite, d.h. auf seiner im eingebauten Zustand der Abdeckung zugewandten und dem Fahrgastraum abgewandten Seite, ein angeformtes Befestigungselement aufweist, mit dessen Hilfe der Grundträger mit der Abdeckung verbunden wird. Die Plakette weist ferner auf ihrer Vorderseite, d.h. auf der dem Fahrgastraum zugewandten Seite, ein Emblemschild mit dem Logo des Fahrzeugherstellers auf. Die Plakette ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Grundfläche des Emblemschildes größer als die Grundfläche des Grundträgers ist, und daß der Randbereich des Emblemschildes den Rand des Grundträgers wenigstens teilweise hintergreift.According to the invention, a badge is provided for fastening emblem plates to a cover for gas bag restraint systems. Fig. 2 zeigt einen Grundträger 14 mit einem an dem Grundträger angeformten Befestigungselement 16. Der Grundträger kann aus Kunststoff oder Metall, insbesondere Aluminium, gebildet sein. Das Befestigungselement wird auf herkömmliche Weise, z.B. durch Taumelnieten oder Verschweißen, mit einer Abdeckung für ein Gassackrückhaltesystem verbunden. An dem Befestigungselement kann auch ein Gewinde vorgesehen sein, mit dessen Hilfe der Grundträger an der Abdeckung über eine Schraubverbindung befestigt werden kann. Durch Umbiegen der Laschen 12 im Randbereich des Emblemschildes 10 wird dieses auf den Grundträger 14 aufgefalzt, wobei der Randbereich des Emblemschildes bzw. die Laschen 12 den Rand des Grundträgers 14 hintergreifen. Falls keine Laschen im Randbereich des Emblemschildes 10 vorgesehen sind, kann dieser auch vollständig über den Rand des Grundträgers gebogen und auf diesen aufgefalzt werden.Fig. 3 shows a badge 18 according to the invention in cross section.
