Neue 1,3,5-TrIs-(N,N-dialkylaminoalkyl)-s-hexahydrotriazin-Anlagerungsverbindungen und ihre Verwendung als Trimerisierungskatalysatoren für PolyisocyanateNew 1,3,5-TrIs- (N, N-dialkylaminoalkyl) -s-hexahydrotriazine addition compounds and their use as trimerization catalysts for polyisocyanates
The invention relates to new addition compounds composed of one mole of 1,3,5-tris- (N, N-dialkylaminoalkyl) -s-hexahydrotriazine and about 6 equivalents of an OH-acidic organic compound with a pK value of 3 to 10 and the use such addition compounds for the production of urethane-containing polyisocyanurate foams and isocyanurate-containing foams Polyisocyanates.
It is known that isocyanates with the help of catalysts can be converted into isocyanurates.
The manufacture of polyisocyanurate foams is also not new.
Here, polyisocyanates are usually cyclized and polymerized in the presence of auxiliaries and catalysts and the isocyanurates and polymers obtained containing isocyanate groups are reacted with polyols. If applicable, it is it is also expedient to carry out the tri-addition or polymerization and polyaddition of the polyisocyanates and polyols at the same time.
Particular technical interest is required in this context also the polymerization of organic polyisocyanates to polymerization products with isocyanurate structure and free NCO groups. Here it is necessary to prevent isocyanurate formation stop after reaching the desired degree of tri or polymerization. This is achieved through decomposition or neutralization, among other things the catalysts. For example, basic catalysts can be neutralized by acids such as hydrochloric acid will.

For the polymerization of aromatic polyisocyanates have according to the details of OS-PS 2 993 870 various triazine derivatives Tried and tested very well as catalysts. Disadvantage of the described Catalysts is that some of the compounds are difficult to access; that the catalysts only work at higher temperatures be effective; that the isocyanurate formation is insufficient or that the tri- and / or polymerization reaction too slow or too fast, i.e. the reaction process cannot be controlled and adapted to the machine and local conditions.
To overcome these disadvantages, German patent application P 22 25 OI7.3 for the production of urethane groups Polyisocyanurate foams cocatalyst systems described, in which 1,3,5-tris- (N, N-dialkylaminoalkyl) -s-

Nachteilig ist ferner, daß die freien Säuren teilweise mit Isocyanaten langsam abreagierten.hexahydrotriazines with organic mono- or polycarboxylic acids, Polyesterols with acid numbers greater than it or half-esters of polycarboxylic acids are mixed in such amounts that the molar ratio of triazine to organic acid component 10: 1 to 1: 1. With the help of these cocatalyst systems, it is possible to reduce the start and rise times during production of polyisocyanurate foams to the machine and local conditions. But also these Cokata-Iysatorysteine sometimes do not meet all of the requirements placed on them. Since the cocatalyst systems are mixtures of substances are, sometimes their addition to the other starting materials causes certain difficulties. Is disadvantageous also that some of the free acids reacted slowly with isocyanates.
The object of the present invention was to develop catalysts for the tri- and / or polymerization of polyisocyanates, the, within certain limits, a variation in the start and rise times in the production of polyisocyanurate foams containing urethane groups which also allow the production of isocyanurate groups containing polyisocyanates with defined enable free NCO levels and do not have the disadvantages mentioned above. As a starting time (cream time) This is to be understood as the time of the trouble-free pourability of the foamable mixture, i.e. the time available standing period of time from mixing to the beginning of a visible reaction, in which mixing of the starting materials, Discharge from the mixer and pouring of the reaction mass must be carried out. The rise time is defined as the time to reach · the largest foam volume counted from the start of mixing.
Surprisingly, new catalysts have now been found which it is made possible by polyisocyanurate foams containing urethane groups with a uniformly fine-celled pore structure, less Brittleness and excellent mechanical properties, especially very good compressive and flexural strengths.

Zu solchen Mitteln gehören Trikresylphosphat, Tris-2-chloräthylphosphat, Tris-chlorpropylphosphat und Tris-2,3-dibrompropylphosphate It can also be advantageous to include a plasticizer in the reaction mixture so that the tendency towards brittleness in the products is reduced. Conventional plasticizers can be used, but it is particularly expedient to use agents which contain phosphorus and / or halogen atoms and thereby additionally increase the flame resistance of the polyisocyanurate foams. Such agents include tricresyl phosphate, tris-chloroethyl 2-, tris-chloropropyl phosphate and tris-2,3-dibromopropyl phosphate e
To one mole of l> 3 y 5 ~ r i RIS 1 (N, N * dialkylaminoalk; yl) -s-hexahydrotriazine is allowed under stirring and cooling at temperatures below 0 C JJO 6 equivalents of the OH-acidic organic compound is added dropwise. Solid OH-acidic organic compounds are dissolved in dimethylformamide to saturation before the reaction. When the addition is complete, the reaction is complete. If the starting components are used in non-equivalent amounts, this is recognized by the formation of two phases. If the reaction is carried out in the presence of solvents, this is distilled off under reduced pressure. The addition compounds according to the invention can be purified by extraction with non-polar solvents such as ethers, carbon tetrachloride or hexane.
For the preparation of the addition compounds according to the invention used starting components, the proportions, optionally the solvent and the obtained End products are summarized in Table 1.

Allgemeine VerfahrensVorschrift zur Herstellung von Isocyanuratgruppen haltigen PolyisocyanatenGeneral procedure for the production of isocyanurate groups containing polyisocyanates
Man erhält ein gelbliches isocyanuratgruppenhaltiges Polyisocyanat.150 g of hexamethylene diisocyanate are with X g of the addition compound of the invention as a catalyst at 50 0 C trimerized. The NCO content of the reaction mixture fell continuously from about 50%. The trimerization is terminated by adding benzoyl chloride and then the excess monomeric hexamethylene diisocyanate is separated off with the aid of a thin-film evaporator under reduced pressure at about 1 mm Hg. The circulation temperature of the heating medium during the distillation was 180 ° C. A yellowish polyisocyanate containing isocyanurate groups is obtained.
The type and amount of the addition compound according to the invention, those based on 1,3> 5-tris- (N, N-dimethylaminopropyl) -s-hexahydrotriazine (HHT) was prepared, and the NCO contents of the reaction mixture are a function of the reaction time summarized in Table 4. The reaction is stopped at the desired NCO content by adding benzoyl chloride.
As a comparative example, hexamethylene diisocyanate was also used in the presence of a cocatalyst system consisting of a Mixture of 1,3,5-tris- (N, N-dimethylaminopropyl) -hexahydrotriazine and 6 moles of acetic acid trimerized. The comparative example shows that the trimerization proceeds significantly more slowly if the individual components instead of the addition compound used as such.
