As already stated in the main application, is it is important that the formed inside the Zyfclontrennkammer Vortex flow (and therefore the separating chambers) have a diameter of no more than 5 mm, preferably 2 mm or less. According to the present invention, the vortex flow diameter should preferably be between 1 mm and 0.1 mm. The lower limit of the diameter becomes smaller with the feasibility of manufacturing Definitely cyclones. A practical lower limit seems to be 0.1 mm.
Demgemäß werden Länge und Durchmesser so ausgewählt, daß die Kammer das für die Trennung vorbestimmteThe length of the separation chamber together with the diameter determines the volume of the same, and the volume determines at that time the residence time of the gas in the same, which of course is sufficient for the desired separation have to be. Accordingly, the length and diameter are selected so that the chamber is that predetermined for separation

Volume receives lumen. The length should be no more than 200 mm and no less than 0.1 mm, and if the chamber is conical in shape, ho! ; their diameter at the tip end was at least 0.1 mm.
The shape of the trenucatiimer (and the vortex flow) is of great importance. It was ge round (j a jj one i n konusf örmigen chambers "inen high separation efficiency is obtained. The diameter of the chamber must be decreased toward the tip end is reduced whereby the radius of the vortex flow and the centrifugal force is iioht egg.
Örrnig ", which is used here, refers to the effective cone shape of the chamber, i.e. to the smaller diameter of the chamber at the tip outlet compared to the diameter at the inlet and base outlet ends. The chamber is actually a cone if it has a smaller diameter at the tip outside than at the inlet having. If this is the case, it shrinks Diameter of the vortex flow in the chamber towards the tip end, even if the shape of the chamber between the ends does not correspond to a cone with straight sides but, for example, to a cylinder.

It can also be partially cylindrical and only conical at the tip end. It is not required that the Kouusform equal ", or straight-sided is. Ice can also have convex and concave sides with more uniform, increasing or decreasing Camber can be used. The diameter can be continuous or gradually decrease towards the tip end. Mau can also have a cone with straight sides, but use with different Kouus angles. It a large number of cone cones is possible, and the cone shape to be selected depends on the particular conditions in the separation to be carried out. You can through trials to be determined.
A greater degree of separation efficiency is then obtained. The effect is particularly clear when using inert gas quantities of more than 25 % by volume, based on the mixture, in particular of more than 10% by volume. It is believed that this effect is due to an increase in the speed of sound of the gas due to the decreased average atomic or molecular weight of the mixture, as well as in one

Any gas can be used which is inert towards the gas mixture to be separated or which is not with it reacts significantly. However, the gas must have an atomic or molecular weight which is less than that of the gas mixture is. The gas should preferably have the lowest possible atomic or molecular weight, so that Hydrogen and helium are particularly beneficial. However, you can also use nitrogen, carbon monoxide, and carbon dioxide Use water.
If an inert gas is used, the method can operated at an absolute gas inlet pressure greater than 1000 mm Hg. Absolute gas outlet pressures of wounded up to 10 atmospheres.
After the separation has been carried out, the inert gas can pass through Usual processes, for example by condensation of the heavier and less volatile separated components, be disassembled.

The separation factor observed is plotted against the uranium distribution ratio 9 in the curve in FIG. K, for four experiments.
Das Uranverteilunesv - haitnis 9 ist wie folgt definiert:The Uranverteilunesv - Haitnis 9 is defined as follows:
Molare Strömungsgeschwindigkeit Uran durch SpitzenauslaßMolar flow rate of uranium through tip outlet
9 = 9 =
Gesamte molare Strömungsgeschwindigkeit Uran durch Spitzen- und Basisauslässe Total molar flow rate of uranium through tip and base outlets
As can be seen from the curve, the separation factor E reaches a maximum value of about 23 χ KK at a value of 9 of about 0.5.
This is of particular importance for energy consumption; it means that an equal volume distribution of the outflowing gas flow at the tip and base out- let the cyclones in the simplest form of a cascade of the embodiment according to Figure 3 can be used. This results in minimal energy consumption. As a result, the same flow voluraina can occur during the operation of the cascade in the back and forth streams from the tip - and Base ends of cyclone I are maintained, and thus through each cyclone in the a and b series II through VI, etc. This is a very convenient method of operation.

In this way one gets a minimal energy consumption, when working at maximum separation efficiency. Furthermore, the entire system is simple in construction and cheap.
