Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Vorrichtung, um das rasche Abbrennen der feuerfesten Steine in den Ofenköpfen möglichst zu verhindern. Zu diesem Zweck ist im Mittelbau des Ofenkopfes ein eiserner Rahmen eingebaut, welcher von drei Seiten a, b, c begrenzt wird und in welchem sich an der der offenen Seite d gegenüberliegenden Seite b innerhalb des Rahmens ein Windkasten β befindet. An dem Windkasten e sind eine entsprechende Anzahl Düsen f angebracht, welche in der Richtung nach dem Ofenherde liegen. Die Anzahl der Düsen f richtet sich nach der Größe und Breite des Ofenkopfes. An der Außenseite b des Windkastens e ist ein Anschlußstutzen g für die Luft- oder Dampfleitung angebracht. Der Einbau des gesamten Rahmens in den Ofenköpfen erfolgt zwischen den Gas- und Luftzügen des Kopfes, und zwar derart, daß die offene Seite d des Rahmens, in der Richtung des Ofenherdes liegend, durch bloßes Mauerwerk begrenzt wird, auf letzteres ein kräftiger Luft- oder Dampfstrom aus den Düsen f einwirkt. Dadurch findet eine kräftige Kühlung des Ofenkopfmauerwerks statt, wodurch eine erhöhte Lebensdauer der Ofenköpfe erzielt wird.The invention relates to a device to prevent the rapid burning of the refractory bricks in the furnace heads as much as possible.
