Method and device for the production of homogeneous portions from bulk goods, in particular from free-flowing materials.
The invention relates to a method and a device for producing identical, homogeneous portions from free-flowing Mixing by dividing into many small subsets, reuniting in a thin, cylindrical feed vessel and continuously Letting it flow out into a number of slender vessels corresponding to the desired number of subsets.
When making and processing portions from pourable Mixing different components with different properties, it is often difficult to achieve a homogeneous component distribution to create and maintain. Various regulating influences that are difficult to grasp in their mode of action and are often unavoidable in a specific case, act in the sense of a segregation. It is known that these difficulties grow with decreasing portion size. It is therefore an advantage to have a carefully mixed basic amount as large as possible in a multiple division method by means of a known, dividing the rotating portion into the desired number of subsets and then dividing these portions to be handled in such a way that no segregation occurs. Indeed an improvement in the homogeneity is demonstrable, but the imperfect miscibility and the flow processes before, during and after the division, with sensitive materials, such as nuclear fuel particles of various sizes, significant segregation, especially when the portions are added and removed by pouring them out.
It was therefore the object of the present invention to provide a method and to find a device that allows the production of homogeneous portions from bulk goods without segregation occur.
Es wurde nunmehr gefunden, daß gleiche, homogene Portionen von rieselfähigen Materialien, insbesondere von Gemischen aus schwer mischbaren Komponenten, hergestellt werden können, wennIt has now been found that identical, homogeneous portions of free-flowing materials, in particular mixtures Difficult to mix components, can be produced, though

mehrere Untermengen aus solchen Gemischen, die nach dem bekannten Prinzip rotierender Portionenteiler durch Aufsammeln in kreißförmig angeordneten Auffanggefäßen erzeugt wurden, unter weitgehender Vermeidung einer Vermischung wieder in einem Zu laufgefäß vereinigt werden und nacheinander, ohne Unterbrechung des FließVorgangs, in einem zweiten Aufteilvorgang auf die gewünschte Anzahl Untermengen aufgeteilt werden, wobei das Aufsammeln dieser Untermengen in sehr schlanken Gefäßen erfolgt und die Entnahme dieser Untermengen durch Bodenauslässe möglich ist.several subsets of such mixtures, which according to the known The principle of rotating portion dividers were created by collecting them in collecting vessels arranged in a circle, be combined again in a flow vessel and one after the other without mixing, while largely avoiding mixing Interruption of the flow process in a second splitting process be divided into the desired number of subsets, collecting these subsets in very slim vessels takes place and the withdrawal of these subsets is possible through floor outlets.
This improvement according to the invention dex homogeneity of mixture portions is based on the following theoretical consideration: In the case of a predominantly one-dimensional extension, there is an arrangement to be regarded as homogeneous if it is composed of sufficiently small sections, the representative parts of a basic set represent. The following inventive method is derived from this consideration:
Q The components for the desired multiple of the required final portion are combined and mixed. In a second stage, these subsets are combined again and divided into the desired number of end portions one after the other, but consecutively unmixed and without interrupting the flow process. In these, a change in the distribution of components is severely hindered by the fact that they are collected in very slim vessels, from which they can be removed through floor outlets. The final portions are therefore made up of as many representative individual layers as the preliminary stage contained partial quantities. If the advantage is sufficiently fine, differences in homogeneity are limited to end zones, which are ultimately due to the fact that the dividing process is not stationary at the beginning and the end. The length of these undesirable zones can preferably be reduced by making the collecting vessels more slim. Q

Fig.! shows schematically "a device door" according to the invention Procedure. This device consists of a rotating storage vessel (l) over which the circularly arranged Collecting vessels (2) loaded with the giant-shaped material will. Runs through the bottom outlet ((j) of the portion divider the material into a feed vessel (3) arranged underneath and from there into the very also arranged underneath slim collecting vessels (4). This arrangement ensures that the individually supplied, pre-divided quantities one after the other and flow out almost unmixed and after the division in the same way in the individual cells. With bottom closures (3) f, preferably ring-shaped single or multiple slides, the portions can be removed individually, several times or together while largely maintaining homogeneity.
Die Dosierung erfolgte mittels einer Voirichtung gemäß Abbildung I:The following example is intended to illustrate the method according to the invention in more detail explain and show the advantages of this procedure. The dosage was carried out by means of a device according to Figure I:
65 μm, bulk density approx. 2 g / cm) were placed in a cylindrical, closed vessel with 160 g of UO particles coated with pyrolytic carbon (Particle diameter approx. 400 μm, bulk weight approx. 1.8 g / cm) mixed by tilting several times and then filled into the storage vessel (l). The distribution nozzle rotating at 80 revolutions per minute was used to divide the amount between the 20 collecting vessels (2) of the upper vessel ring. Then these 20 vessels were poured one after the other into the lower, slim feed vessel (3) and layered one on top of the other. The material was divided into the lower slender collecting vessels (k) via the lower dividing nozzle. The first and second division took about 5 and 6 minutes. To check the representative division, k portions were removed and the two types of particles were separated by sieving. The proportion of the particle type with a small diameter fluctuated only by at most -0.h percent by weight. To test the homo-
