Arbeitstisch für Nähmaschinen mit einem länglichen lisch, der eine flache, durchgehende Oberfläche entlang seiner gesamten Ausdehnung hat und zur Aufnahme einer Nähmaschine an einex* Stelle entlang seiner Länge geeignet ist und sich in Längsrichtung mit dieser erstreckt, wobei der längliehe Tisch eine die Nähmaschine aufnehmende Fläche an einer Stelle seiner Länge bildet und sich in Längsrichtung mit dieser erstreckt, mit einer Einrichtung zum Tragen des Tisches in einer für den Gebrauch der Nähmaschine geeigneten Position, und mit einem zweiten Tisch, der auf dem ersten Tisch montiert ist und einen Aufnahmeschlitz aufweist, der der die Nähmaschine aufnehmenden Fläche des ersten Tisches zugewandt ist und sich in Längsrichtung von einem Ende des zweiten Tisches in diesen hinein erstreckt, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß dur Aufnateieschlitz (18) zur Aufnahme des Freiarmes (14) einer Nähmaschine (12) geeignet ist, wenn eine Freiarm-Nähmaschine avf dem ersten Tisch (10) aufgestellt ist, und daß eine Halterung vorgesehen ist, um den zweiten Tisch (13) über einem Endabschnitt (10a) des ersten Tisches 10 zu montieren, so daß der zweite Tisch (13) in der Freiarm-Arbeitsstellung auf dem ersten Tisch (10) ruht und über dem ersten Tisch (10) liegend angeordnet ist, während seine obere Fläche (13a) über der oberen Fläche des ersten Tisches (10) liegt, und um die wirksame Länge des zweiten Tisches (13) bezüglich dem ersten Tisch (10) und über dem ersten Tisch (10) auf näherungsweise dasselbe Niveau zu erhöhen, auf dem die Arbeitsfläche des Freiarmes (14) der aufgestellten Nähmaschine : {12) zu liegen kommt, wobei die Halterung (15) auch für die j Rückführung des zweiten Tisches (13) in seine Ruhestellung auf ' dem ersten Tisch (10) in der Freiarm-Arbeitsstellung vorgesehen ist.1.
