As far as the roof shape is concerned, umbrellas are usually on one Tailored to the individual, d. H. the canopy has a round shape or a shape that closely approximates the circular shape Basic shape. Such a roof is made using a centrally controlled support system of roof poles and struts supported by this typical umbrella shape In addition, roofs with an oval or an elliptical shape have also become known (DBP 29 894). the the design in this regard is made so that the ends of the roof poles and support struts are essentially form two concentric ellipses so that such a screen can be used by two people. This The more theoretical proposal aims at a corresponding roof shape in such a way that the longer roof poles are let them slide into each other when closing the umbrella. So it is a matter of simple telescopic roof poles, which are brought into the desired end position manually and not centrally controlled. Hence it is when opening of the umbrella required to pull out the guided roof pole sections in question individually and slide it in again when the umbrella frame is collapsed.

Approaches provided within the leading roof pole section prevent the too far insertion outer roof pole sections.
It has in the further development of an umbrella with an oval Roof also made suggestions to train the umbrella crown as a flat crown and this in the direction of the longer axis to lengthen the ellipse considerably, so that on both sides of the central axis of the umbrella pole are diametrically opposed to each other There are wings for the linkage of the roof poles. Apart from the fact that both roof poles of different lengths must be used, as well as the entire support system is to be adjusted to this need, a result extremely wide basic shape of the entire umbrella frame. Since, moreover, the corresponding construction is that in itself advantageous central system and finally this frame can still be shortened, there is a very complex, design is also unfavorable in terms of handling (DBGM 1 914 232).
Die diesbezüglicheFinally, a 10-bar elliptical roof has become known, which is opened and closed via the proven central control (DBP 849 744). The related

With regard to the roof poles, the design uses the telescopic poles known per se. While for the crown-side Roof pole sections are kept essentially the same length, are for the extension stock forming outer roof pole sections, which are connected with their crown-side end to the main slide strut, considerable different lengths required. In addition, the auxiliary struts to achieve a different extension movement of the guided roof pole sections in corresponding different distances from the crown-side connection point between the outer roof pole sections and the main slide strut are hinged. The auxiliary strut is solid articulated so that the main slide strut section protruding beyond the strut-side articulation point as Control arm for pulling out or pushing in the accidental roof pole section occurs. There are three construction-related Rod and strut groups that differ significantly in terms of dimensions are required. This brings in particular technical disadvantages, since not only must high actuation forces be applied, but also strong forces resulting from a certain self-locking occur.

The object of the invention is to provide a screen of the type shown that is simpler to manufacture and easier to use To be designed in such a way that, despite the use of the inherently favorable central control system, a stable, Roof shape, supported as evenly as possible, approximating to the elliptical shape, providing the required headroom given is.
This object is achieved by the invention specified in claim 1.
The subclaims represent an advantageous development of the solution according to the invention.
DenAs a result of such a configuration, a stably supported, easily openable and closable roof surface despite the enlarged roof area Generic umbrella created. These advantages are essentially based on the formation of two, different ones Operating sequences requiring roof pole and strut groups. This eliminates the risk of the groups self-locking, which makes handling difficult. The

The coupling points of the group shorter struts move away from those of the group of longer struts when the umbrella is closed. This means, that when the main slide is pushed down, the longer ones Strive pull in the outer roof pole sections by a greater amount than the shorter struts assigned to them Roof pole sections. Two auxiliary slides are used, of which, depending on whether it is one telescopic umbrella stick or a non-shortenable umbrella stick, one, namely the upper one can be fixedly assigned. By dividing the pole-side attack of the auxiliary struts into two parts, a separation can be made achieve the operating sequences, in such a way that the auxiliary slide closer to the crown with initiation of the sliding movement the main slide in the direction of the umbrella handle immediately shortens the longer telescopic roof poles begins, while the second auxiliary slide of the group, which is already moving in the direction of the umbrella handle

Die entsprechende Bauform sieht dann so aus, daß der die längeren Hilfsstreben lagernde Hilfsschieber eine unterseitig vorstehende Stock-Rastklinke aufweist, welche den anderenthe shorter roof poles pulls in less or only causes them to fold in the direction of the pole axis. the Dimensions of the individual support systems are such that when the umbrella is closed, the roof poles of the group the shorter strives lead those of the others. This leads to a favorable self-arrangement of the roofing material, which with it with its larger-area sections does not interfere between the scissor-like acting frame parts or jammed. When you open the umbrella there is another advantage, namely that now the roof poles of the group of longer struts detach from the umbrella pole more quickly and thus advance, while the Then follow the roof poles of the "other group" or overlap. Depending on the basic concept of the umbrella one movable auxiliary slide can act as the trigger Element of the also movable, but in an intermediate position that further facilitates opening and closing stopped slide (servo opening). The corresponding design then looks like the longer one Auxiliary slide supporting struts has a stick latch that protrudes on the underside and which the other

Fig. 2). Eight roof poles 4 are articulated to the crown 2, specifically using the usual tie-in wire which is embedded in an edge groove 5 and forms the individual articulation points A. The edge groove is crossed by storage shafts 7, in which the flattened ends 8 of the crown-side roof rod sections 4 f pivot. The articulation and alignment of the roof poles 4 is carried out in such a way that they lie outside the extreme parameters xx and yy (cf. FIG. 2). The angular distances between the individual roof poles are roughly the same. Only their length varies in order to arrive at the plan shape of the canopy, which can be seen in particular from FIG. 2 and approximates the elliptical shape. The roof poles 4 closest to the larger elliptical axis El-El are dimensioned longer than those assigned to the smaller elliptical axis E2-E2. The group of longer roof poles including the support system is denoted by I and the group of shorter roof poles by II.

Beim Schließen des Schirmdaches entfernen sich diefrom a solid binding ring or wire 19, the the articulation points A there. It is a plate 20 with a central opening. To the radial and axial fixing, a cotter pin 21 penetrating the umbrella shaft 1 is drawn in. The aspirational attack takes place Via a pivot pin 22 or a conventional granulation made from the material of the U-legs of the corresponding Profiled struts 9 · The ends of the auxiliary struts 18 on the articulation side are flattened to form bearing eyes and broken accordingly. The rigid articulation of the auxiliary struts 18 is for group I of the longer roof poles intended. Accordingly, these auxiliary struts l8 and struts 9 of greater length than those of group II of the shorter roof poles. This group II of the shorter roof poles is in the manner described on the auxiliary slide Hl hinged. The articulation points A are in turn formed by a binding ring or wire 23. The auxiliary slide St. consists in turn of a plate-shaped component 24, which, however, to increase the axial support in a handle-side bushing section 25 continues. Hieraus ergibt sich auch eine ordnende Punktion für den verhältnismäßig großflächigen Dachstoff D, Erst dann, wenn sich die Articulation points of group II of shorter rods and struts of those of group I of longer rods and struts. Despite the selected central control system, this leads to a division of the closing phase into two sequences of movements that facilitate operation, in that when the main slide 10 is pulled down, the lowering movement of group II of shorter roof poles is initiated immediately. Since the auxiliary slide 'Hl is carried along, the roof poles there are merely folded in or, at most, are effective in the final phase of the displacement of the main slide in the direction of shortening the roof poles. With this downward movement of the struts of the Group I reach the longer roof bars superimposed in a retraction of the outer roof rod sections 4! L favoring starting position. Despite the considerable length of the struts 9 of this group, which length on the other hand provides a support of this roof carried forward as possible in the direction of the canopy edge, a safe tilting movement of these struts 9 around the pivot pins 22 that avoids unacceptably high bending forces is achieved. This also results in an orderly puncture for the relatively large-area roofing material D, only when the

Erst wenn die Dachstangen der Gruppe I größerer Länge nahezu ihre höchste Klappstellung erreicht haben,Roof poles of shorter length are already close to the pole, the roof poles of greater length are positioned. This gives the large roof fabric folds the opportunity to classify themselves according to their direction of fall. They can then be gathered and wrapped around the frame core in the usual, fan-like manner of assignment, in order then to be secured by the sheath that is to be attached. The canopy is opened in the reverse order. First, the group I of longer roof poles is opened by the free ends of the struts 9 lifting the roof poles 4. This is possible in spite of the fact that the roof poles are folded in very close to the pole, because after the retaining strap is released, the natural splaying force inherent in the frame lifts them off the pole so far that the pivot pin 22 is outside the self-locking position, also overlapping the lifting of the roof poles 4 the pushing out of the outer roof pole sections 4 ' 1 takes place. Only when the roof poles of group I of greater length have almost reached their highest folding position,

Fig. 1). Trotz der Aufteilung der Strebenanlenkung in. zwei Gruppen, nehmen die Streben 9 einen etwa gleichen Verlauf, d. h. die Gelenkzapfen 14 liegen nahezu auf.einer Höhenebene.the roof poles of the second group II are folded up. Here, too, there is the advantage of self-ordering Roof covering D. The main slide occurs in the final opening phase 10 by means of the release latching button in the pole-side latching recess, so that the open position of the roof is secured. In this set-up position, the struts are slightly bent. This bias prevents that Support system still enters a starting position that enables the canopy D to be turned over when the wind hits the ground. Despite The enlarged roof area is therefore also a safe support here, as in the drawings convey, great headroom achieved. Since the rest of the group II of the shorter roof poles less sagging, i.e. less arching overhang, is an elevation that leaves the sight free of the roofing material D, which is illustrated by the dash-dotted line 27 in its contour (see. Fig. 1). Despite the division of the strut articulation into two groups, the struts 9 take approximately the same course, i. H. the pivot pins 14 are almost on a level.

The pivot pin 22 between struts 9 and auxiliary struts 18 take a corresponding course.
Fig. 2) führt praktisch zu zwei, diametral einander gegenüberliegenden, stabilisierenden Stützfächern.Incidentally, the articulation points that are different from the pole axis, in particular the roof poles and Strive resulting offset "V" (see. Fig. 2) practically leads to two, diametrically opposed, stabilizing Support compartments.
Diese ist in einer den Einlagerungsschacht 32 der RastklinkeFor the embodiment illustrated in FIGS. 5 to 7, what has been said above applies in principle. This design differs only in that here both groups of auxiliary struts 18 attack auxiliary slides. These are labeled with Hl and H2. However, here too, the temporary fixing of what is closer to the crown to facilitate operation To reach auxiliary slide H2, this is in a Intermediate position stopped briefly. This is the auxiliary slide A latch 28 is assigned to H2. The latter engages with the locking projection 29 in a post-side recess 30. The pawl 28 is under the action of an annular spring 31. This is in one of the storage shaft 32 of the latching pawl

kreuzenden Randnut 33 eingelagert. The latter is located in a projection 34 which extends from the auxiliary slide sleeve 35, which also forms an overlying edge groove 36 for the binding ring or wire 37. The latching pawl 28 is mounted on a journal 38 which passes through the shaft 33 transversely. The latching pawl has a control projection 39, with the latter acts a release shoulder 40 of the auxiliary slide H 1, which controls the pawl accordingly in its upward movement in the release position. When the lock button 10 'of the main slide 10 is triggered, both auxiliary slides Hl and H2 initially run in the direction of the umbrella handle 3. The roof poles of both groups initially fold down at the same time. When the auxiliary slide H2 on the crown side enters the locking position, only the shorter roof poles fold further in the direction of the pole axis, while group I of longer roof poles pauses. Rather, the auxiliary slide H2 on the crown side now holds the struts in an intermediate position that promotes the retraction of the outer roof pole sections 4 tf until all the roof poles are in the folded position. In this position, overcoming the detent 41 of the

Stock formed here from the two telescopic parts 42 and 43 are pushed into one another to achieve the shortening. With this shortening, the locking pawl 28, that is, its projection 29, jumps out of the locking recess 30. When the stick part 43 is moved on the handle side, the auxiliary slide H2 finally steps against the underside of the umbrella crown 2. Here, the outer roof pole sections 4 lf are moved further by the dimension ζ (Fig . 4) pulled in, in order to lie with their ends 4 '1 ' in a height plane in this length-shortened position, as also in the merely folded position.
