Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Zeltdach, das aus dachförmig ausgespannten, an beiden Enden lösbar befestigten, die Dachhaut tragenden Drähten besteht. Die Spannwelle, welche auf einer festen Stange 19 (Fig. 3) zwischen zwei an dem Hause 4 befestigten Tragstücken drehbar gelagert ist, wird vom Erdboden aus mittels einer Einsteckkurbel 14 bewegt, die ihre Bewegung mittels eines in einem Gehäuse 15 eingeschlossenen Sperrgetriebes auf eine Gelenkwelle 16 und von dieser mittels Kegelgetriebes 17 und 18 auf die Spannwelle 13 überträgt.
