Der die Beobachtung Ausführende wird das Bild des Fahrzeuges A etwa im Punkt K (Fig. 3) im ebenen Spiegel g eintreten, in gebogener Bahn K-L-M (Fig. 3) vorbeifahren und im Punkt M (Fig. 3) austreten sehen. Die Bahn K-L-M entspricht der Strecke A-B (Fig. 3). Wird noch mit Hilfe einer Uhr die Zeit bestimmt, die das Fahrzeug zur Zurücklegung des Weges χ gebraucht hat, so ergibt sich ohne weiteres die Geschwindigkeit des Fahrzeuges.
