Description
GEBIET DER ERFINDUNG FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to the field of chemistry, in particular a polycarbonate composition.
HINTERGRUND DER ERFINDUNG BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Currently, polycarbonate is one of the thermoplastics commonly used in the industry, for example in the automotive industry, in the household appliance industry, and in the electronics industry. This is because polycarbonate has many excellent properties such as heat resistance, transparency, flame retardant function, dimensional stability, electrical insulation, gloss, and high glass transition temperature. However, some of the properties of polycarbonate limit its application, such as corrosion resistance in solutions and chemicals, and high melt viscosity. This restriction causes the high temperature injection process to be performed to reduce the viscosity of the polycarbonate during the process. There have therefore been attempts to solve these problems by blending polycarbonates with other polymers to form polymer blends or alloys.
It is known that blending acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene polymer (ABS) with polycarbonate can improve rheological properties and processability while maintaining high impact strength. However, polycarbonate / acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene polymer (PC / ABS) usually results in a reduction in stability when exposed to heat and an increase in brittleness.
It has been reported that blending styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer (SAN) with polycarbonate / acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene polymer can improve the rheological property. This leads to the possibility to mold parts of automobiles and to improve some mechanical properties of the polymer. However, it has been found that the increased level of styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer may reduce the heat resistance and strength of the polymer. Therefore, attempts have been made continuously to overcome these problems while maintaining the other good properties.
For the above reasons, this invention aims to develop the polycarbonate composition having improved mechanical properties while maintaining the high temperature properties, to promote the variety of applications, particularly for use in automotive components.

Elastizitätsmodul und Zugfestigkeit Young's modulus and tensile strength
Biegemodul und Biegefestigkeit Flexural modulus and bending strength
Wärmeformbeständigkeitstemperatur (HDT) und Erweichungstemperatur (VICAT) Heat distortion temperature (HDT) and softening temperature (VICAT)
Starting from Table 2, when comparing the mechanical properties of the reference material samples A to E and the material samples 1 to 8 according to the invention, it was found that material samples with the polycarbonate composition according to the invention showed better mechanical properties, in particular with regard to the impact strength. The material sample 7 of the invention had the highest impact strength of about 1,200 J / m. In addition, it was found that the samples of material with the composition according to the invention showed good thermal properties, which could be recognized by the heat distortion temperature and the softening temperature, which remained high compared to the reference material samples.
From the above results, it could be said that the polycarbonate composition of the present invention provides good mechanical properties and thermal properties as mentioned in the object of this invention.
Bestmögliche Ausführungsform der Erfindung Best possible embodiment of the invention
