Claims (15)

1. Vorrichtung zum Schutz der Steckeraufnahme eines opto­ elektronischen Bauelements, insbesondere eines opto­ elektronischen Übertragungsmoduls, gegen Staub, Verunreinigungen, Feuchtigkeit und Beschädigungen, wobei die Steckeraufnahme eine optische Kontaktfläche, die eine Mehrzahl von zu koppelnden Lichtwellenleiterenden enthält, und eine Steckerbuchse mit standardisierter InnenKontur zur Aufnahme eines optischen Steckers aufweist, gekennzeichnet durch einen Schutzstecker (3), der in die standardisierte Innenkontur der Steckerbuchse (21) einsteckbar ist und an seiner Stirnseite mindestens ein weichelastisches Teil aufweist (34), dass im eingesteckten Zustand zumindest teilweise an der optischen Kontaktfläche (22) der Steckeraufnahme (2) zur Anlage kommt.
2. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das weichelastische Teil (34) eine umlaufende Dichtlippe (35) aufweist, die an der optischen Kontaktfläche (22) anliegt und dabei die zu koppelnden Lichtwellenleiterenden (23) umschließt.
3. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das weichelastische Teil (34) eine Aussparung (36) derart aufweist, dass die Lichtwellenleiterenden (23) im eingesteckten Zustand benachbart der Aussparung (36) sind.
4. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 2 und 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der von der Dichtlippe (35) umgebende Bereich des Schutzsteckers (3) als Aussparung (36) ausgebildet ist.
5. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 3 oder 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Aussparung (36) derart ausgebildet ist, dass für den Fall, dass in der Steckeraufnahme (2) Führungsstifte (34) angeordnet sind, die Führungsstifte (34) im eingestecken Zustand in der Aussparung (36) aufgenommen sind.
6. Vorrichtung nach mindestens einem der Ansprüche 2 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Dichtlippe (35) eine längliche Form aufweist und geeignet ist, ein Array von zu koppelnden Lichtwellenleiterenden (23) des opto­ elektronischen Bauelements (1) zu umschließen.
7. Vorrichtung nach mindestens einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Schutzstecker (3) Führungsstrukturen (33) zur Führung in der Steckerbuchse (2) aufweist.
8. Vorrichtung nach mindestens, einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Schutzstecker (3) rastbar mit der Steckerbuchse (2) verbindbar ist.
9. Vorrichtung nach mindestens einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Stecker einteilig ausgeführt ist.
10. Vorrichtung nach mindestens einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Stecker mehrteilig ausgeführt ist, insbesondere ein zweiteiliges Gehäuse (3a, 3b) aufweist.
11. Vorrichtung nach mindestens einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Stecker (3) symmetrisch gegenüber einer Drehung um die Längsachse um 1800 ausgebildet ist.
12. Vorrichtung nach mindestens einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 10, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Stecker (3) mit einem Keying ausgebildet ist.
13. Vorrichtung nach mindestens einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Schutzstecker (3) entsprechend dem MPO-Standard nach TIA/EIA- 604-5 ausgebildet und geeignet ist, in eine Steckerbuchse (2) gemäß dem MPO-Standard eingesteckt zu werden.
14. Vorrichtung nach mindestens einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Schutzstecker (3) angrenzend an einen Steckbereich (31), der in die Steckerbuchse (2) einsteckbar ist, einen Haltebereich (32) ausbildet.
15. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 14, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Haltebereich (32) im wesentlichen quaderförmig ausgebildet ist.
