Planenhaubendach für Transportfahrzeuge, insbesondere EisenbahngüterwagenTarpaulin roof for transport vehicles, especially railway freight wagons
The invention relates to a tarpaulin roof for transport vehicles, in particular railway freight wagons, according to the preamble of claim 1.
Tarpaulin hood roofs essentially consist of a number of bows supporting the tarpaulin hood and an end portal that can be locked to the fixed front wall, with the bows and end portals being movable on rollers on a guide rail arranged on the outside of the vehicle, for example on the external longitudinal member. By pushing the end portals and bows together, the vehicle can be opened alternately on both sides. The tarpaulin is folded and an additional opening device pushes the tarpaulin outwards during the folding process, so that a minimum cross-section remains as a free area under the pushed-together roof.
A tarpaulin roof of the type described is known from EP 0 955 196 A1. There, additional extension elements are arranged between the bows that can be moved in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and are connected to the bows via links. The connection from the links to the extension element is made by a triangular joint. In practice, it has now been shown that when the vehicle is opened and the tarpaulin is folded, the tarpaulin falls between the bows and the extension elements and narrows the loading cross-section.
The invention is based on the object of finding a solution with which a reduction in the loading cross-section can be avoided while retaining the proven bows in conjunction with the opening elements.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments are described in the subclaims.
The solution according to the invention, the arrangement of an additional tappet between the bow and the extension element, achieves a more favourable tarpaulin contour in the roof area and thus an improved loading cross-section.
Es zeigt:An embodiment of the invention is described in more detail below using a tarpaulin-covered railway freight wagon with reference to the drawing. It shows:
Fig. 1 einen Laderaumquerschnitt eines Planenhauben- Eisenbahngüterwagens und Fig. 2 eine Ansicht 1A' nach der Fig. 1.Fig. 1 is a loading space cross-section of a tarpaulin-covered railway freight wagon and Fig. 2 is a view 1A ' according to Fig. 1.
Fig. 1 shows a cross-section of a tarpaulin-covered wagon. A guide rail 9 is arranged on each side of the wagon's chassis in the longitudinal direction, in which bows 1, which are mounted on rollers 8, are guided. The bows 1, to which the tarpaulin is attached, have an external contour that determines the vehicle's cross-section.
In Fig. 2 it can be seen that between each bow 1 there is a deployment element 2 which essentially corresponds to the outer contour of the bow 1 and which is coupled to the adjacent bows 1 via a joint 5 and link 4. Between the bows 1 and the deployment element 2 there is also a tappet 3 which runs essentially parallel to both and which is mounted on the one hand in a swivel joint 6 on the link 4 and on the other hand in a pocket 7 integrated in the roof area of the tarpaulin. It is advantageous if the tappet 3 consists of flat steel and if the tappet 3 is designed to be cranked in the effective area with the pocket 7.

When the tarpaulin roof is pushed together, the horizontal movement of the bows 1 is converted into a straight vertical movement of the extension elements 2 by the positively guided links 4 and the joint 5. The plungers 3 also follow this straight vertical movement due to their mounting on the links 4. This ensures that the tarpaulin cannot fall between the bows 1 even when the bows 1 are pushed together. In Fig. 1, line α shows a tarpaulin contour without plunger 3 and line b shows an achievable tarpaulin contour with plunger 3, which documents the improved loading space cross-section.
