Akustisch absorptives PlattenelementSTOAG, Ehrenbachstr. 1, 79780 Stühlingen
Acoustically absorptive panel element
The invention relates to an acoustically absorptive panel element for eliminating reflected sound in rooms in which it serves to form suspended ceilings or walls with covered recesses open to the outside.
Panel elements are already known (EP 0 605 784 B1, EP O 652 331 A1, EP 0 680 B2 and DE 42 06 615 C2) which have in common that the recesses are designed in the form of round holes that pass completely through the elements or in the form of blind holes that extend transversely to the surface of the elements. In the first case, the holes are covered on both their opening sides by a porous covering layer made of a fleece, a fabric or the like, or covered on their room-side opening by a fleece layer with a sound-permeable plaster layer applied to it. In the case of such panel elements with through holes, it is also known to apply an airtight layer to the side of the panel facing away from the room, which is corrugated in folds and thus practically three-dimensionally structured.
Quite apart from the relatively high manufacturing costs in practically all of the cases mentioned, the fact that the sound absorption ultimately leaves much to be desired has proven to be a disadvantage.
The invention is based on the object of further developing the panel element of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that a panel element is obtained which has particularly favorable sound absorption properties while reducing the production costs.
The plate element according to the invention, in which this object is achieved, is essentially characterized in that the recesses on which films are mounted so that they can swing freely, forming hollow chambers, are formed by outwardly open depressions formed in the surface of the plate element and extending approximately parallel to the surface facing the ceiling or wall cavity. With such a plate design and arrangement, even a single depression results in a comparatively extensive area in which the film is not supported but can swing freely.
In a further development, the feature that has proven to be particularly advantageous with regard to the desired sound absorption capacity is that the acoustically absorptive panel element, in which the depressions are formed by molding, is formed from expanded glass granulate, which, when glued, creates binder-free cavities in the area of the contact points.
Potassium water glass, cement or, in combination with cement, latent hydraulic binders can be used as binding agents. However, it has proven to be particularly advantageous if the granulate particles are formed into the panel element using epoxy resin as a binding agent.
In order to achieve binder-free cavities, it has proven to be extremely advantageous that the granulate particles are in a grain size range of 0.25 - 4.0 mm.
Eine recht günstige Formherstellung zur Fertigung der Plattenelemente läßt sichWith regard to the sound absorption properties, the recesses can be shaped as desired. A relatively inexpensive mold for the production of the panel elements can be
However, this can be achieved in a very advantageous manner if grooves in the form of notches are arranged crossing each other in the longitudinal and transverse directions.
It is particularly advantageous if the grooves have the shape of recesses with a semicircular cross-section. These advantageously have a diameter of 5 to 50 mm.
In practice, it has been shown that any thin, vibrating film is more or less suitable for covering the grooves, such as a film made of Teflon, Mylar, polycarbonate, etc. However, it has proven to be particularly advantageous if the grooves are covered with a PE or aluminum film.
Weitere Einzelheiten, Vorteile und Merkmale ergeben sich aus der folgenden Beschreibung anhand der beigefügten Zeichnung, und zwar zeigen:Further details, advantages and features are apparent from the following description based on the attached drawing, which shows:

Die Zeichnung mit den Fig. 1 bis 4 zeigt ein Plattenelement 1 mit den äußeren Abmessungen 1200 mm &khgr; 800 mm &khgr; 15 mm.The drawing with Fig. 1 to 4 shows a plate element 1 with the external dimensions 1200 mm x 800 mm x 15 mm.
The plate element 1 is made of expanded glass granulate, which is bonded together in the area of contact points while leaving largely binder-free cavities. Epoxy resin is preferably used as a binder to bond the granulate particles. A binder mixture consisting of 5 to 19% aluminum phosphate, 10 to 40% amorphous finely divided silicon dioxide or aluminum oxide or a mixture of both, 20 to 46% potassium water glass with a molar ratio of 1.5 to 2.2 and 15 to 45% water can also be used.
The granulate particles preferably have a grain size range of 0.25 to 4.0 mm.
As can be seen in particular from Fig. 2, grooves 2 are formed in the plate element 1, which are designed as notches in cross section according to Fig. 4. These grooves 2 are expediently arranged crossing one another in the longitudinal and transverse directions. They extend on one side of the plate over its entire surface, with the exception of the edge area 3, which, like the area 4 between the grooves 2, serves to fix, for example by gluing, a thin film 6, preferably a PE or aluminum film, which is mounted in the groove area so that it can vibrate freely, forming hollow chambers 5. This film 6 forms a membrane which absorbs sound waves at certain frequencies.
It has been shown that the individual absorption coefficients of the plate structure and the groove-foil system, when combined energetically, result in a total absorption coefficient of a s .~ 0.5 to 0.8 at an average frequency of 125 to 4000 Hz.
Unterschiedlich ist lediglich die Formgebung der in das Plattenelement 7 eingeformten Vertiefungen in Form einzelner flacher Senken 11The modified plate element 7 shown in Fig. 5 to 10 has the same external dimensions as the plate element 1. The only difference is the shape of the recesses formed in the plate element 7 in the form of individual flat depressions 11.
Here too, the depressions 11, which have a different diameter in the area of the boundary edge, are assigned a cover in the form of a film 12 mounted so as to vibrate, which rests on the intermediate areas 8, 9 of the plate element 7, delimits chambers in the area of the depressions 11 and also forms a membrane for absorbing certain frequencies.
