Trotzdem erfolgt die Anlieferung der Ware zumeist nicht auf Kunststoffpaletten, da es zu aufwendig ist, die Paletten an den Belieferer zurückzuverbringen. Für den Belieferer aber ist es unwirtschaftlich, die Paletten aufzugeben, dafür sind die Kunststoffpaletten zu teuer. Somit bleibt als Konsequenz: Der Transport der Ware erfolgt nach wie vor auf Holzpaletten und vor Ort muß die Ware von der Holzpalette auf die Kunststoffpalette umgeladen werden, um sie richtliniengemäß im Betrieb hygienisch lagern zu können.
