Claims (8)

1. Gassack-Modul (10) mit einem Gehäuse (14), einem am Boden des Gehäuses angeordneten Gasgenerator (14), einem gefalteten Gassack (16) hinter einer das Gehäuse verschließenden Abdeckung (30) und einem Diffusor (22) zwischen dem Gasgenerator (12) und dem gefalteten Gassack (16), dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Diffusor (22) ein feststehendes Diffusorteil (24) und ein mit diesem als Schieber zusammenwirkendes bewegliches Diffusorteil (26) aufweist, das im Ruhezustand Gasdurchtrittsöffnungen (28) des Diffusors verschließt und bei Aktivierung des Gasgenerators durch Druckbeaufschlagung in Austrittsrichtung des Gassacks (16) vorgeschoben und in eine Stellung bewegt wird, in der es die Gasdurchtrittsöffnungen (28) freigibt.
2. Gassack-Modul nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Gasdurchtrittsöffnungen (28) seitlich an dem beweglichen Diffusorteil (26) angeordnet sind.
3. Gassack-Modul nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das bewegliche Diffusorteil (26) bei seiner Vorschubbewegung gegen die Abdeckung (30) drückt und diese öffnet, bevor die Entfaltung des Gassacks (16) beginnt.
4. Gassack-Modul nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das bewegliche Diffusorteil (26) in vorgeschobener Stellung aus dem Gehäuse (14) herausragt.

Gassack-Modul nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Gassack (26) bei Aktivierung des Gasgenerators (12) erst durch die über die Gasdurchtrittsöffnungen (28) des Diffusors eingeleitete Gasströmung aus dem Gehäuse (14) herausgezogen und dann durch den Gasstrom entfaltet wird.
6. Gassack-Modul nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Entfaltung des Gassacks (16) bevorzugt in seitlicher Richtung erfolgt.
7. Gassack-Modul nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das bewegliche Diffusorteil (26) in seine Ruhestellung zurückbewegbar ist.
8. Gassack-Modul nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das bewegliche Diffusorteil (26) durch Federkraft in die Ruhestellung beaufschlagt ist.
