Abstract
Description
Diaphragm dampers are used in brake systems for vehicles set (DE 43 36 464 A1). The membrane damper, also Schwin tion damper or pulsation damper, is used in Traction control operation by ver in the braking system used pump type caused longitudinal vibrations of the in brake fluid in the suction line of the pump as well as to avoid rocking cavitation, so by the pump a sufficiently large volume flow for a quick Pressure build-up in wheel brake cylinders can be promoted. In addition, the membrane damper is used in the Line to the master cylinder pressure surge occurring at To reduce the end of the traction control cycle.
In order to achieve a sufficient damping effect, it is required large enough spaces on both sides of the Provide membrane so that it is correspondingly large Can absorb and dispense volumes of brake fluid. The volume of the rooms essentially depends on Line volume between master brake cylinder and reciprocating piston benpump, its stroke volume and speed as well as the hydraulic elasticity of the vibration of the pump excited system. Because in modern braking systems located between the master brake cylinder and wheel brake cylinders Elements such as valves, pumps, pipes and the like primarily for reasons of weight and cost savings a reduction in their construction volume and a tight one packed arrangement in a so-called hydraulic unit have experienced, there are constructive difficulties which requires a relatively large installation diameter known type of vibration damper in the housing of the Hydraulikag to arrange gregates.
There are therefore diaphragm dampers with cup-shaped Membrane has been proposed as a pot-like form of Membrane with a large surface only a small cross cutting surface required (DE 195 24 920 A1). At this known design of a diaphragm damper is a support body covered by the cup-shaped membrane. In the support bodies are troughs formed over a central boho with the atmosphere. To on they maintain the connection to the atmosphere lateral gutters over at least one in the end face of the support body-provided channel with the central bore connected. In addition, the shape of the bottom wall reached the membrane as a relatively pressure-resistant spherical segment, that in the area of the end face of the support body approach located channel sections and the central bore always remain free.
The invention is therefore based on a vibration damper deriving from the preamble of claim 1 Genus.
Based on the prior art described above The invention is based on the object, below called a vibration damper a diaphragm damper Membrane damper especially for a hydraulic brake able to create the same or smaller size larger volumes of a pressure medium, in particular one Brake fluid.
This object is achieved by the features of Claim 1 solved. The invention therefore consists in Principle in that at least part of the interior of the Support body to be used for storage purposes, so that in the limited housing interior or the housing bore more space is available for storing the pressure medium stands. The invention also creates the possibility of at least in the area of the recess (formation) To operate the membrane as a rolling membrane.
The vibration damper according to the invention can in one Suction phase both release pressure medium and in one Damping pressure vibrations. A special one advantageous construction is obtained through the application of features according to claim 2. This further training of the Er Thus, the invention is based on the idea of two functions to create areas, preferably abge a pressure medium and a vibration-damping area. Through the Each of these can create two functional areas Areas adapted to the task to be performed become. The division allows a 5-6 times volume levy compared to the known diaphragm dampers.
The advantage is maintained that the Vibration damping required volume on a room small diameter and corresponding axial expansion extends. The provision of the required is advantageous Lichen pressure medium volume on the front side of the jacket wall the cup-shaped membrane. The Support body advantageously ensures that the membrane does not collapse when pressurized, but nevertheless with the help of the cavities in the side and end face on the one hand a sufficient compression volume and on the other a large delivery and expansion volume available stands. This ensures that at the lowest sub pressure in the fluid from one area pressure medium released is because the membrane in this area by a roll Movement is moved from the cavity of the support body and the essential expansion of the membrane only at a later time Time begins. This is the volume delivery required system vacuum extremely low.
By the features of claim 3 is accordingly Training according to claim 2, a membrane and a support body created that define two areas in interaction, which cause the Mem bran is pressurized in one area and delimits a cavity in the other area. The of the membrane is delimited by a cavity at the perimeter of the Support body provided trough-like depression with Lateral surface continuously decreasing or increasing Course formed during the area where the membrane rests, is pot-shaped in the support body. This Functionally separated areas allow for providing equally good damping of the vibrations a large volume of pressure medium.
The features of claims 3 to 5 support ge ring system negative pressure a rolling movement of the membrane and thus a quick provision of the necessary Pressure medium volume, since this volume is not sufficient is finally provided via the stretching of the membrane, but via a rolling movement in the pot-shaped Aus shaping the support body.
Via an opening provided in the cup-shaped shape is the trough-like depression in the side wall of the Support body and the cup-shaped shape with the At connected to the atmosphere. Depending on the stiffness of the Membrane material is formed between the recess tion and the opening from a connecting channel.
Especially with a softer membrane material between the membrane and the support body, preferably in Area between the opening and the trough-like recess fung, flow elements provided. The flow elements can for example in and / or on the support body directed wall of the membrane as gutters and / or spacing elements be formed. As a result, si is in every position that the cavity when pressure surges occur is vented.
Due to the features of claim 9, the weight of the Support body can be reduced. The one by reshaping, preferably wise deep drawing, manufactured support body can be cheaper are manufactured. The production of the support body as a deep-drawn sheet metal part causes the entire with the Membrane in contact with the surface is free of Ridges, steps and other bumps. This is one Damage to the membrane in continuous operation is excluded. The membrane and the sheet metal part are advantageous trained support body with a separate foot part in Attached housing, the foot part on the Support body pressed on and used as a housing cover is trained. The connection of the foot part to the support body takes place according to the features of claim 11 a protruding bead on the foot section, which according to Merk paint the claim 12 in a provided on the support body Bead engages.
After further training, the diaphragm damper is through machining from a solid material provides, the foot part in one piece with the support body connected is. By means of a provided on the support body bulging outwards on a thickened edge the membrane acts, the thickened edge is applied and sealingly pressed against a housing stop.

The diaphragm damper 10 shown in Fig. 1 for the damping of liquid vibrations is intended for use in a hydraulic, slip-controlled braking system of vehicles, as described in the aforementioned document DE 43 36 464 A1. The Mem fire damper 10 is arranged in a bore 11 of a housing 12 , in which valves, pumps, lines and other elements of the aforementioned braking system are included. The bore 11 of the housing 12 has a depth corresponding to a multiple of its diameter. You can see through a line section 13 with a master brake cylinder with a reservoir for brake fluid and through line section 14 with the suction side of a self-priming piston pump and with at least one wheel brake cylinder in connection. Brake pressure can be generated in the wheel brake cylinder with the pump in traction control mode.
The membrane damper 10 has a cup-shaped membrane 15 made of an elastomer resistant to brake fluid. From the longitudinal section shown in Fig. 1 of a first embodiment of the diaphragm damper 10 it can be seen that the inner volume of the cylindrical sleeve formed by the diaphragm GE has an outgoing from a reinforced cross-section opening edge 16 jacket wall 17 , which wall in a pot-shaped bottom facing the inner volume transforms. The bottom 18 of the cup-shaped membrane section is reinforced, preferably as a thickened bottom wall, formed.
Within the bore 11 of the housing 12 there is a support body 19 with a cylindrical basic shape, over which the membrane 15 is placed. The support body 19 and the membrane 15 have a length approximating the hole depth. Membrane 15 and support body 19 are fastened in the bore with a stepped base part 20 with a design provided coaxially with the bore 11 . The separate foot part 20, which is designed as a rotating body, is of stepped construction. The by knife-smaller part of the foot part 20 has a radially projecting bead which engages in a molded in the wall of the support body, the outwardly continuing bead 22 . The larger diameter section of the foot part 20 acting as a housing cover is connected via a clinch connection to the housing 12 and closes the bore 11 . A central bore 23 is provided in the foot part 20 , which connects the cavity 39 of the support body 19 to the atmosphere. The opening edge 16 of the membrane 15 is received between the smaller diameter section of the foot part 20 with the support body 19 and the bore 11 . The thickened edge 16 of the membrane 15, which is subjected to the radial pressure, seals the section of the bore 11 filled with brake fluid from the atmosphere. The radial pressure is exerted by the correspondingly chosen diameter of the support body at the level of the membrane bead.
The cylindrical support body 19 has a cross section in union union, in the side wall 25 of which a trough-like depression 26 is formed with a continuously decreasing or increasing course to the lateral surface. The recess 26 can also be described as an indentation of the cavity 39 . Towards the foot part 20 , the side wall 25 of the support body 19 merges into the bead 22 , 24 , which ends in a rectilinear wall section. The thickened opening edge 16 of the membrane 15 bears against the rectilinear wall section. Towards the closed end face of the support body 19 , the side wall 25 extends after the recess 26 with a likewise straight line section up to the end face 27 of the support body. In the end face 27 of the support body 19 is a cup-shaped shape 28 which is molded into the cavity 39 . An opening 30 is provided in the bottom 29 coaxial to the central bore 23 of the foot part.
The support body 19 is produced in this embodiment with a forming process, preferably with a deep drawing process. During deep drawing, the sheet (blank) from which the supporting body is made is drawn through a drawing ring by means of a stamp.
By producing the support body 19 as a sheet metal deep-drawing part, in which the cup-shaped formation 28 by means of To put and the side indentations ( 26 ) are formed by pressing with a suitably shaped double stamp after deep drawing and turning, the end faces 27 can be rounded in a simple manner and the transitions from the pot side wall to the bottom 29 are produced as curves 31 . The use of a sheet metal deep drawing causes a cavity to be formed with the cavity 39 , the weight of which is low.
The membrane comprising the support body delimits a cavity 32 formed by the recess 26 , since the side wall of the membrane 15 at normal pressure cuts from the rectilinear sections of the support body and extends in a cylindrical shape. The membrane 15 is guided over the substantially semicircular end face 27 of the Stützkör pers 19 in the cup-shaped formation 28 , and is at normal pressure on the bottom 29 of the support body 19 . Between the membrane 15 and the support body 19 are preferential as provided in the area between the opening 30 and the Vertie Fung 26 flow elements 33, which preferably at and / or in the membrane 15 formed Vertiefun gene and / or elevations are formed. It is self-evident that corresponding flow elements also on the surface of the support body 19 , for. B. by laying on, sticking, coating and the like can be provided. The flow elements 33 ensure that the depression 26 is connected to the opening 30 . This is particularly advantageous when using a "soft" membrane 15 .
The diaphragm damper 10 has the following mode of operation:
When operating the reciprocating pump for the purpose of traction control can in the line sections 13 and 14 filled with brake fluid between the master brake cylinder and the suction side of the pump liquid longitudinal vibrations and vibration cavitation occur. The line sections 13 and 14 are shown in Fig. 1, otherwise reference is made to DE 43 36 464 A1. The periodic excitation of the vibration is due to the design of the pump. With the help of the diaphragm damper 10 , which provides an air-filled compression space with the cavity 32 and an expansion space filled with brake fluid with the bore 11 outside the jacket wall 17 , additional elasticity or damping is introduced into the line sections 13 and 14 in order to achieve the eigenfrequency of the Move the brake fluid column between the master brake cylinder and the reciprocating piston pump to very small values until the pump excites the critical area. Longitudinal liquid vibrations and oscillation cavitation are avoided. The volume flow of the brake fluid delivered by the pump is leveled and increased.

vorstehend beschriebene Fertigung des Stützkörpers mit der

anschmiegt, was den Einschluß von Luftblasen zwischen

wahlweise vorgesehenen Strömungselemente 33 wird sicher

Fig. 1 shows the diaphragm damper 10 at normal pressure of the brake fluid, that is, in a stationary state without overpressure or vacuum peaks. Starting from this stationary state, the jacket wall 17 of the membrane 15 is brought from the brake fluid in the bore 11 to rest against the side surface 25 of the recess 26 during a compression phase. The air in the cavity 32 , that is to say the air located between the jacket wall 17 and in the recesses 26 of the support body 19, is compressed and through the flow body 33 and the bore 30 into the cavity 39 of the support body 19 and via the bore 23 of the Foot portion 20 directed to the atmosphere. The above-described production of the support body with the recess 26 ensures that the jacket wall 17 from the inlet and outlet of the recess 26 nestles against it, which prevents the inclusion of air bubbles between the jacket wall 17 and recess 26 . The optionally provided flow elements 33 ensure that the compressed air can always flow to the bore 30 .
According to a variant not shown, the cavity 32 can be connected directly to the cavity 24 via openings in the support body 19 . The flow elements 33 can be omitted.
The expansion volume required during the expansion phase of the membrane damper 10 is provided by the bore 11 and limited by its dimensions. During the expansion phase of the diaphragm damper 10 , there is negative pressure in the system of the brake system based on the static normal pressure state shown in FIG. 1. At the beginning of the expansion or negative pressure phase, in which the difference between normal and negative pressure is still low, the membrane 15 moves out of the cup-shaped formation 28 and reduces the volume available in the bore 11 for receiving the brake fluid. The smallest pressure differences are sufficient for a rolling movement of the membrane 15 along the rounded end face 27 and the rounding 31 in order to change the geometric shape given by the cup-shaped shape 28 of the support body 19 . The associated volume delivery of the brake fluid takes place due to the change in shape of the membrane that takes place by means of a rolling movement, which is followed by expansion of the jacket wall 17 of the membrane 15 against the atmospheric pressure prevailing in the cavity 32 , 39 only at higher pressure differences. The expansion of the membrane 15 in the functional area 34 is severely limited by the side walls of the bore 11 , while the membrane in the functional area 35 , which is used exclusively for the volume delivery of the brake fluid used as a pressure medium, results in larger pressure differences from the cup-shaped configuration 28 moves out until it bears against the end face of the bore 11 . Due to the two functional areas 34 and 35 of the diaphragm damper 10 , the volume of the brake fluid can be increased by 5-6 times the amount.
In Fig. 2, another embodiment of a diaphragm damper 10 is shown, the function of which corresponds to the previously described and shown in Fig. 1 meme fire damper. In contrast to the membrane damper 10 already described, the support body 36 as a rotating part 10 is made of a solid material by means of machining. The support body 36 is integrally connected to a foot part corresponding to that described in FIG. 1. Due to the one-piece construction of the support body and the foot part, the connection between the foot part and the support body described in FIG. 1 is eliminated by means of a bead. The support body 36 has a continuous bottom hole 37 introduced in the bottom 29 , which leads out as a stepped bore. The larger diameter section of the central bore 37 extending from the bottom 29 contains a body 38 for reducing the bore diameter. The body 38 can be designed as a semi-permeable plate, which ensures that an exchange of air takes place, but prevents the penetration of liquids, in particular water and solid particles.
Fig. 3 shows a modification of Fig. 1, which relates in wesentli Chen the attachment of the support body 19 in the housing 12 . While a caulked to the housing 12 base part 20 is provided in the embodiment of Fig. 1, which clamps the support body 19 together with the open end of the membrane 15, this base portion 20 is omitted in the embodiment according to FIG. 3. Rather, the support body 19 has at its open end a circumferential edge 40 extending in ra dialer direction, the outwardly facing end of which protrudes into a groove 42 which is also inserted circumferentially into the housing 12 . A groove wall 43 is formed by caulking or rolling, so that the support body 19 is firmly and tightly anchored in the housing 12 by simple means. Instead of a circumferential groove, the caulking can also consist of individual point-by-point caulking, three caulking points 44 being shown in FIG. 3. Regardless of which construction you choose, the circumferential edge 40 must in any case lie absolutely tight against the circumferential edge 45 of the housing.
In Fig. 4, the main difference to the design from Fig. 2 is that the dimensions of the membrane 15 are chosen so that the inner surface 51 hen apart from the fastening area 52 over the entire length at a distance from the outer surface 53 of the support body remains. This is achieved in that the dimensions of the membrane are chosen to be sufficiently large compared to the corresponding dimensions of the support body. The main advantage of this configuration compared to the configuration according to FIG. 2 is that when the membrane end is in contact with the bottom 29 according to FIG. 2, the section of the membrane lying in the functional area 34 against the side wall (see FIG. 1) of the support body when pressure is applied is pressed and thereby stretched. This stretching can lead to material fatigue. To prevent this, the dimensions of the membrane 15 are chosen such that it is compressed at a pressure acting on the membrane outer surface 54 as shown in FIG. 4, since the pressure tries the larger inner surface 51 to the smaller dimensions of the outer surface 53 of the support body 12 to compress. This results in greater protection of the elastic membrane material. An air gap is thus achieved by appropriately dimensioning the support body and membrane in the entire area between these two parts. If an overpressure occurs in the fluid that surrounds the membrane, the membrane is correspondingly pressed against the support body over the entire surface. The membrane is compressed. The full-surface pressure also results in a larger liquid absorption of the diaphragm damper according to the invention.
