Der statische Anteil des Lagesensor (11)-Signals wird von der Mikroprozessor-Steuerung (8) zur Bestimmung des Wäschegewichts ausgewertet und beispielsweise in einer in den Zeichnungen nicht dargestellten Gewichtsanzeige angezeigt. Der dynamische Signalanteil wird in bekannter Weise von einer in der Mikroprozessor-Steuerung integrierten Auswerte­ schaltung (A) ausgefiltert und zur Sensierung des Schaumaufkommens im Laugenbehälter (1) herangezogen. Somit kann die Auswerteschaltung (A) durch Ermittlung der Standardabweichung des dynamischen Signalanteils ein vermehrtes Schaumaufkommen im Waschgang sensieren. Ist dies der Fall, werden anschließend im Schleudergang das Drehzahl­ profil im Schleuderhochlauf hinsichtlich Höhe und Beschleunigung an die ermittelte Schaum­ menge angepaßt. Außerdem können hierdurch bedingte Laufzeit-Verlängerungen bei der Anzeige der Programmlaufzeit (nicht dargestellt) berücksichtigt werden.
