Description

Anwendungsgebietfield of use

The invention particularly relates to a device for treating the With the help of stool and urinary incontinence in both men and women electrostimulation and / or the derivation of biomedical signals (especially biofeedback).

Nachteile des Standes der TechnikDisadvantages of the prior art

The hard electrodes previously on the market fit not to the physiological conditions, they are therefore called felt uncomfortable. Due to the poorer contact with the surrounding Mucous membrane the local current density is higher at the contacting points, which in extreme cases can lead to burns.

The expensive, complex production (injection molding or turned / milled metal art fabric electrodes) leads to the conventional electrodes Quality problems (e.g. difficult electrical coupling between conductive electrode core and conductive electrode surface) and this leads to high reject rates in production. This explains the high cost of conventional electrodes.

Another problem is the corrosion of metal surfaces in the the body's aggressive environment.

Contraindications to the use of metals (allergenic reactions) are to assume.

The mechanical structure of the conventional electrodes does not guarantee optimal sterilization with reusable electrodes (no clean transitions between conductive and non-conductive areas).

Due to the traditional way of production are only transversal (Annular) arrangements of the electrode surfaces possible.

Aufgabe der ErfindungObject of the invention

The electrode provides in the area of incontinence treatment with the Electrostimulation and biofeedback methods are a therapeutic procedure In addition, the electrode can be used in the diagnostic area as Insert the dissipative electrode.

Due to the material properties of the electrode, it adapts to the natural conditions of the human body. The new type of electrode allows almost any electrode geometry / con tact areas and thus completely new therapy / diagnosis concepts. At the same time, the electrode can be manufactured very inexpensively.

Lösung der AufgabeSolution of the task

Zur Herstellung von insbesondere rotationssymmetrischen Elektroden mit longitudinaler Anordnung der Elektrodenflächen wird Silikon/Silikonschaum (insbesondere koextrudiertes) verwendet den Kern bildet insbesondere nichtleitfähiges Silikon/Silikonschaum, an dessen Außenseite die leitfähigen Bereiche liegen (Bild 3).For the production of in particular rotationally symmetrical electrodes with longitudinal arrangement of the electrode surfaces is silicone / silicone foam (especially coextruded) uses the core is in particular non-conductive silicone / silicone foam, lie on the outside of the conductive regions (Figure 3).

Correspondingly long pieces are cut from the strip material in such a way that a rounded tip is formed. Alternatively, the rounded tip can be formed in particular by liquid two-component silicone with the help of a casting mold. For a homogeneous field distribution over the entire electrode length, the contacting z. B. guaranteed by inlaid elongated wires (awl), which are combined outside the electrode to a common cable ( Fig. 1, 2). A hole at the lower end allows the electrode to be pulled out using a pull cord after use.

Electrodes with a transverse arrangement of the electrode surfaces are built up in layers in a casting process with liquid two-component silicone: the conductive areas are cut from extruded, conductive, rod-shaped silicone / silicone foam, which have the same Shore hardness as the non-conductive silicone ( Figure 4). These are applied to a carrier, which contains the electrical contacts for the individual surfaces, and the free spaces in between are poured out in a mold with silicone. The carrier itself is made of a flexible non-conductor on which the contacts z. B. are applied in the form of metal rings. Due to the elastic property of the silicone, the conductive rings z. B. pressed under tension against the metallic inner conductor and thus reliably contacted ( Figure 5). The electrical contact to the outside is made using wires (combined into a cable) that are attached to the inner conductors. A hole at the lower end allows the electrode to be pulled out using a pull cord after use.
