KAISERLICHES PATENTAMT. Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf solche Katheter, deren Innenraum durch eine Längszunge in zwei Kanäle zerlegt ist, von denen der eine zur Zuführung einer Spülflüssigkeit in die damit zu behandelnde Körperhöhle, der andere zur Ableitung der Flüssigkeit dient. Bei solchen Kathetern kann es nun vorkommen, daß sich der Ableitungskanal durch Schleim, geronnenes Blut, Epithelzellen ίο u. dgl. verstopft. Um die Entfernung solcher Materien aus dem Ableitungskanal zu ermöglichen, ohne daß der Katheter aus der Körperhöhlung entfernt zu werden braucht, ist nach vorliegender Erfindung der Katheter mit einer Vorrichtung zur Vertauschung der Bestimmung der beiden Flüssigkeitskanäle versehen, so daß die Flüssigkeit dem bisher zur Ableitung benutzten Kanal zugeführt und durch den anderen Kanal abgeleitet werden kann. Hierdurch wird die verstopfende Materie gelockert , in die Körperhöhle zurückgeführt, durch diese Bewegung zerkleinert und zur Ausspülung gebracht. Im Ausführungsbeispiele der Zeichnung ist α das Katheterrohf, b und c sind die Kanäle, die nahe der Spitze in den Öffnungen b1, cl enden. Unten ist dem Katheter ein Stück d mittels Bajonettverschlusses drehbar angeschlossen , welches zwei Stutzen dl, d2 zum 30- Anschlüsse von Schläuchen zur Zu- und Ableitung der Flüssigkeit hat. Das Ende des Katheters ist in das Stück d dicht' eingeschliffen. Benutzt man d1, b als Zuleitung, so nimmt . die Flüssigkeit ihren Rückweg durch c1, c, <i2.; will man. die Richtung des Flüssigkeitslaufes ändern, so dreht man das Stück d, unter Festhalten des Katheters an den Griffen, um so viel, daß der Zuleitungsstutzen dl mit dem Kanal c, die Ableitung d2 mit b in Verbindung kommt, also die Flüssigkeit die Kanäle b, c umgekehrt wie vorher durchströmt.
