Abstract

Stereo X-ray images are generated by continuous generation of subtraction images for two focus positions. One focus position is for the left image and the other for the right image of a stereo image pair. A C-shaped arc X-ray imaging system swings between two focus positions. A blank image and a row of full images are generated in each focus position. The full images are subtracted from the blank image, and the subtraction images are displayed on a monitor. An X-ray generator and X-ray amplifier are fixed to the C-shaped arc. The C-shaped arc swings about a horizontal axis so that the patient can be irradiated from different directions. Alternatively, two monitors can be used for reproduction of the subtraction images of each focus position.

Description

For generating x-ray stereo images, it is known that Examination object from two different focus positions ions to shine through. This way it becomes a stereo image couple that generates information about the spatial location of Contains body regions or organs.

The invention has for its object a method for Generation of x-ray stereo images to create it leaves, with a single device spatial subtraction images to create.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by the features of claim 1. Further developments result from the Subclaims.

Es zeigen:The invention is based on the drawing he he purifies. Show it:

Fig. 2 und 3 Impulsfolgen zur Erläuterung der Fig. 1. Fig. 2 and 3 pulse sequences for explaining FIG. 1.

In FIG. 1, a support table 1 is shown, on which a patient 2. The storage table 1 is suspended from the ceiling 4 of the examination room using a tripod 3 . To produce x-ray images, an x-ray emitter 5 and an x-ray image intensifier 6 with a subsequent single image camera and television chain 10 are provided. The X-ray emitter 5 and the X-ray image intensifier 6 are attached to a C-arm 7 , which is adjustably supported on a base 8 . A monitor 9 is suspended from the ceiling 4 for image reproduction.

The C-arm 7 is pivotable about a horizontal axis 10 so that the patient 2 can be irradiated in different directions. Two focus positions are provided for the left and the right image of a stereo image pair.

In order to produce stereo subtraction images, a mask image without contrast medium is made and stored in each of the focus positions. After the contrast medium bolus has reached the region of interest, the C-arm 7 oscillates for image subtraction, so that the focus oscillates between its at the exposure positions and an image series is made in each exposure position, the images of which are subtracted from the mask image. The X-ray pulses for the left stereo image run for example according to FIG. 2 and for the right stereo image according to FIG. 3. The filling images generated by the X-ray pulses A, C, E etc. are subtracted from the corresponding mask image, so that the left subtraction images are continuous result as a left stereo image. Accordingly, the fill images generated by the X-ray pulses B, D, F etc. are subtracted from the corresponding mask image, so that the right subtraction images result.

The mask images can be taken before or after the contrast medium is given. The reproduction of the subtraction images can take place on the monitor 9 in such a way that the left and right stereo subtraction images appear alternately. However, two separate monitors can also be provided for this.
