Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for coating Endless products, especially cables or wires with Powder.
So far, a product to be coated is drawn through a container 13 filled with powder, as is sketched in FIG. 1. The product is carried on or Ausführungsöff voltages 14 drawn through the container. 13 In this case, powder 15 is blown into the container 13 through a nozzle 12 . Excess powder 15 is sucked off again through a suction opening 16 . However, such a coating does not meet the requirements in all cases.
The object of the present invention is now a method for Coating of continuous products, such as cables or lines to find with a coating with high requirements regarding effectiveness when applying conditions, the uniformity of the coatings, and the Control option for coating thicknesses is made possible. The task is accomplished with a procedure of the beginning explained type solved in that the continuous product by an elongated chamber is passed over that near air is sucked out of the outlet opening is so that there is a negative pressure and an air in the chamber stream along the continuous product from a near the on inlet opening located here forms that the Powder added to the air flow via the suction opening distributed and precipitated around the continuous product and that the Control the amount of powder applied by a control device is heard.
In the method according to the invention, a langge is now stretched chamber used in the continuous product to For example, a cable or line. On the uncured resin layer of such a continuous product as e.g. B. specifically an optical fiber or a fiber bundle an optical cable, for example Powder made of hollow glass spheres with an average diameter of 30 µm upset. A vacuum is created in the chamber Extracting air creates the powder in the chamber is drawn in. This powder then flows through the ongoing continuous product, where it is partly reflected. The strength of the powder application can be adjusted with control devices over the amount of powder introduced or by additional Control or regulate penetrating air. The one in the chamber prevailing negative pressure also prevents that not attached powder through the inlet and outlet openings for the Endless product emerges.
The effect of attracting powder to the continuous product can be can be reinforced by electrical charging of the powder. This effect can also be caused by charging the chamber wall or by means of an electrode which is tubular around the chamber wall is arranged around can be achieved. Such Electrode could also be evaporated on the chamber wall. The charge on these electrodes must have the same polarity zen like the powder, so that it is repelled from there and to Endless product is drawn. This also makes a Deposition on the chamber walls prevented.
A particularly uniform powder application can be achieved when the powder passes through an annular gap around the introduced continuous product is arranged around in the chamber is sucked in.
Through additional openings in the chamber wall can ver different flow conditions can be achieved by then the deposits of the powder are controlled accordingly can be.
The method can preferably be applied to products be covered with a resin layer from under UV light curable resin are provided.
The invention is explained in more detail with reference to three figures.
Fig. 1 vermittelt den Stand der Technik. Fig. 1 conveys the prior art.
Fig. 2 shows a first device for showing a method according to the invention.
Fig. 3 shows a second device for showing a method according to the invention.
Fig. 1 wurde bereits eingangs eingehend erläutert. Fig. 1 has already been explained above in detail.
Fig. 2 now shows a tubular chamber 2 , which is provided on both sides with terminations 8 , in which inlet and outlet openings 10 a and 10 b are introduced for the continuous product. By b in the vicinity of the outlet opening 10 located suction opening 11 air 3 is suctioned. This creates negative pressure in the chamber 2 and an air flow 3 forms along the continuous product 1 . Air and the powder to be applied are sucked in through the suction opening 4 , the powder 5 sucked in with the air stream 3 being deposited on the surface of the continuous product. Corresponding additional options or electrical charging of powder or electrodes have already been explained above. The mixture of air and powder can be regulated by a quantity regulator 6 , the powder 5 being sucked out of a container. In addition, additional air can also be supplied for the powder application via a controller 7 , so that the concentration of the powder content can also be adjusted here. By the pressure prevailing in the chamber 2 vacuum is avoided that the powder 5 through the inlet openings 10 a or outlet openings 10 changed abwan b; because there is an additional air inlet due to the prevailing negative pressure, as the arrows in the figure indicate.
Fig. 3 shows in principle the same arrangement as in Fig. 2, but here the powder 5 is sucked through an annular nozzle 17 for an even more uniform coating structure. This ring nozzle 17 is arranged around the insertion opening 10 a, so that the powder 5 is already distributed evenly around the continuous product 1 . In this way, a particularly uniform distribution of the powder is guaranteed.
In addition, reference is made to the fact that the air powder flow is also possible against the product direction.
