Abstract
Description
The invention is based on a method of the generic type of the main claim. Nozzles made by the process are mainly used in fuel injection systems Preparation of the air-fuel mixture use. In addition to the number, what is decisive for its composition of the nozzles especially the cross section of the spray holes as well the direction of the emerging mixture jet. With regard to optimize the engine with regard to the Consumption, pollutant emissions, performance and Small spray hole geometries become noise sought. The beam exit angle should match the usually geometry of the engine manufacturer Be adapted to the combustion chamber.
The currently known methods (EP 352 926) for producing such small hole geometries are based on the wire EDM technique. It allows the production with economically still reasonable effort of spray holes with diameters of 180 µm.
To optimize the combustion process is the Availability of spray hole geometries with even smaller ones Diameters desirable. It is an object of the invention specify a process that does this.
The task is solved by a procedure with the Features of the main claim. According to the invention Generation of spray hole geometries with the help of threads, which are electroplated. The proposed The process advantageously allows production of channels with cross sections of less than 150 µm. Channels produced according to the invention are characterized by a exact shape. Regardless of the ratio of Channel length to channel diameter are extremely small Wall roughness and very sharp edges of the Exit openings achieved. Leave with high accuracy produce convex channel geometries in particular. Channel length and channel inclination in relation to the location of the Exit openings are freely selectable. By using Plastic molding techniques can change the location of the outlet openings several channels can be set almost freely to each other. At the proposed method will be the shape and Material properties through an electrochemical process Are defined. Post-treatment of the components obtained is not mandatory. The method according to the invention offers further has the advantage that it is a production of many components in use.
The proposed method is described below with the aid of Embodiments with reference to the drawing explained in more detail.
Figs. 1 and 2 each show arrangements for performing the method in cross section.
To illustrate the proposed method, FIG. 1 shows a simple device suitable for carrying out the method. Its main components are a shaped structure 2, referred to below as the base plate, and a thread straightening device 4 connected to it . In the base plate 2 , which consists of a plastic with a conductive surface or entirely of a conductive metal such as copper, there is a bore 7 . The thread straightening device 4 , it consists in a simple manner of a plastic, for example plexiglass, is designed as a cylinder, and is arranged on the base plate 2 in such a way that the bore 7 is located within the area covered by the thread straightening device 4 . There are one or more openings 10 in the cylindrical side wall of the thread straightening device 4 . A thread 1 is guided through an opening 10 and through the bore 7 in the base plate 2 . The threads 1 are tensioned by means not shown outside the arrangement shown in FIG. 1, so that they connect the bore 7 and the openings 10 in each case in a straight line. The threads 1 consist of a material with an electrically non-conductive surface. The thread material must also be insensitive to the process conditions prevailing during electroplating, in particular to high temperatures. Thread materials that meet these requirements are in particular copper wire, glass fibers or plastic threads.
For the production of a metal component with internal, fine channels using the arrangement shown in FIG. 1, the angle α, which indicates the inclination of a thread against the surface of the base plate 2 , must first be set to the desired value. For this purpose, a thread straightening device 4 is to be selected, in which the bores 10, referred to below as thread exit, lie with respect to the base plate 2 such that the angles α assume the desired values. The threads 1 are tensioned or fixed in a simple manner in that the thread ends emerging from the bore 7 or the openings 10 are fastened by means of adhesive to the underside of the base plate 2 or to the outside of the thread straightening device 4 . An electroplating layer 3 with a desired thickness - typical values for nickel, for example, are between 0.5 mm and 5 mm - is then applied to the top side of the base plate 2 thus prepared from the open side of the thread straightening device 4 . The threads 1 made of non-conductive material are molded in the electroplating layer 3 . If the electroplating layer 3 has been applied, the threads 1 above the electroplating layer 3 and below the base plate 2 are separated and the electroplating layer 3 is removed from the base plate 2 . The residues of the threads 1 remaining in the electroplating layer 3 are then removed. The removal is carried out mechanically, for example by pulling it out, or, particularly in the case of plastic materials, chemically by dissolving the thread residues in a suitable solvent. After the threads 1 have been removed, the images of the thread contours with the geometry of the threads 1 originally present remain in the resulting metal body 3 . They form the desired channels.
By appropriate modification of the manufacturing arrangement shown in Fig. 1, the metal body 3 obtained can be designed almost arbitrarily in terms of its outer geometry and in terms of location and number of channels. For example, a number of holes 7 corresponding to the number of openings 10 can be provided in the base plate 2 , through which the threads 1 are then individually guided. Also, the base plate 2 does not have to be flat, for example it can also be hemispherical or conical. Furthermore, by changing the position of the openings 10 with respect to the surface of the base plate 2 while the electroplating layer 3 is being applied , the production of curved channels in the metal body 3 is also conceivable.
A method variant which is particularly suitable for series production is illustrated with reference to FIG. 2. In this variant, the base plate 2 contains a multiplicity of bores 7 . Each of the bores 7 has a collar 9 towards the top of the base plate 2 . The thread straightening device 4 is now in the form of a plate which is arranged parallel to the base plate 2 . Therein are per base plate bore 7, two thread guide openings. 11 Furthermore, the thread straightening plate 4 has a perforation 13 . It is designed so that a uniform application of an electroplating layer 3 to the base plate 2 is possible through the perforation 13 . Associated with the underside of the base plate 2 is a thread guide device 5 , which is also designed as a plate. It has a number of guide openings 12 corresponding to the number of base plate bores 7 and is arranged parallel to the underside of base plate 2 . Under the thread guide device 5 there is also a device 6 for tensioning the thread 1 .
In the process variant according to FIG. 2, a continuous yarn 1 is used. It is in each case from a first guide aperture 11 assigned to a bore 7 in the thread alignment plate 4 to the associated bore 7 in the base plate 2 , from this via the associated guide aperture 12 in the thread guide device 5 to the tensioning device 6 , from this again via the guide aperture 12 in the thread guide device 5 back to the hole 7 in the base plate 2 and from this back to the second guide hole 11 associated with the relevant hole 7 in the thread straightening device 4 .
A metal body production according to the process variant indicated in FIG. 2 proceeds as follows. After introducing the threads 1 into the arrangement of tensioning device 6 , thread guiding device 5 , base plate 2 and thread straightening device 4 , the distance A between thread straightening device 4 and base plate 2 is set such that the inclination α of the thread sections between thread straightening device 4 and base plate 2 to base plate 2 is a desired one Value corresponds. By moving the tensioning device 6 perpendicular to the plane of the base plate 2 , the threads 1 are then tensioned. The desired thread position is then fixed with a conductive adhesive 8 . The fixing material 8 is introduced into the bores 7 in the form of a casting drop such that the thread 1 is approximately perpendicular to the surface of the fixing material 8 at the point of exit from the fixing material 8 . A galvanic layer 3 is then applied to the top side of the base plate 2 prepared in this way through the perforation 13 in the thread straightening device 4 . The threads 1 and the contour of the fixing material 8 are molded on the top of the bores 7 .
After application of the electroplating layer 3 , the threads 1 are cut above and below the base plate 2 . The metal layer 3 is then removed from the base plate 2 . The thread residues 1 located in the metal layer 3 are removed, again mechanically or chemically, from the demolded metal layer 3 . Subsequently, fine channels with a geometry corresponding to the threads originally present remain in the metal layer 3 . Subsequent separation provides bowl-shaped metal bodies with two channels or channels leading from the inner surface to the outer surface through a bore 7 with four, six, eight, etc. when carrying out several threads. Bowl-shaped bodies of this type are used, for example, as nozzle caps in fuel injection systems.
A plastic with the designation PA6 has proven to be particularly suitable for use in the prescribed method. The material can be produced in a simple manner with any desired diameter between 5 µm and 200 µm and is particularly easy to stretch. Since the thread cross-section narrows under tensile stress and thus the wall friction is significantly reduced, threads made of this material can be easily pulled out of this after completion of the electroplating layer 3 .
The design of the base plate 2 in the area around the bores 7 depends on the intended use of the metal body. Of course, other designs are also possible than the plane assumed in the exemplary embodiments according to FIGS. 1 and 2. The base plate 2 is produced inexpensively by micro injection molding.
A large number of configurations of the proposed method are possible while maintaining the basic principles. In particular, it is not limited to a galvanic production of the metal layer 3 . Rather, the metal layer 3 can also be produced by other electrochemical processes.
