In Fig. ι ist ein dreiwalziger Kalander dargestellt, welchen das Papier behufs Erzielung der gewöhnlichen Glätten in üblicher Weise passirt, und an welchem dann noch die Einrichtung getroffen ist, dafs die eine Seite des Papieres durch eine Frictionswalze, welche auf dem Papier gleitet, die sogenannte Frictionsglätte erhält. Diese Frictionswalze F befindet sich seitlich einer Walze des Kalanders gegenüber und ist so gelagert, dafs sie gegen diese Kalanderwalze beliebig angeprefst oder von derselben entfernt werden kann.In Fig. 1 a three-roll calender is shown, which the paper passes in the usual way in order to achieve the usual smoothening, and on which the device is then made that one side of the paper through a friction roller, which slides on the paper so-called friction smoothness receives.
