Description
Process for the production of electrical insulation material from mica-coated laminates. There are conductor insulations in the form of laminates or laminates known which have deposits of mica to increase the electrical insulation. There are several types of such laminates known as micafolium. They are used to manufacture windings and insulation in a wide range of areas, from large machine construction to electronics. Depending on the desired thermal class, paper or glass silk can be used as the carrier material for such electrically insulating, mica-containing laminates and laminated materials. The carrier materials are impregnated with the usual insulating varnishes. Up to now it has been customary to stick relatively large and therefore expensive mica platelets by hand onto the soaked carrier paper or other carrier materials with the help of an adhesive. Shellac, but also ßpoxynarze, phenol-formaldehyde resins and, more recently, silicone resins have been used as adhesives. In the production of such conductor insulation, the coated carrier strips are passed over heating tables and the mica platelets are fixed on them with the aid of a solvent-based adhesive. When the webs move on over the heating tables, the solvent evaporates, so that a dry web covered with mica is obtained. Depending on the intended use, this is then further processed, appropriately trimmed, laid one on top of the other, pressed, wound and the like. This known method has two serious disadvantages. The manual work is extremely costly and contains all the uncertainties and irregularities that are connected with human work. For the manual covering of laminates with mica, only those types of mica are of course suitable that have a certain size. So one is forced to use high quality and thus expensive block mica or chips of the higher quality classes. The invention now relates to a method for producing laminates covered with mica as electrical insulation material, which method does not have the disadvantages indicated above. With the method according to the invention, it is possible to produce high-quality insulating material in a simple, inexpensive and reliable manner with economical consumption of mica.
According to the inventive method, the coated carrier web is coated with mica in such a way that ground mica, i.e. waste that cannot otherwise be used except as a filler, is applied by sprinkling onto an adhesive layer or onto the adhesive surface of the painted tap and is fixed on it.
The application of the ground mica takes place in any conventional way, such as. B. in the sandpaper technology, vibrators, sieves or similar spreading devices that ensure an even distribution of the passing web over the entire width of the web.
Any one used in the relevant technology can be used as the adhesive Synthetic resin adhesive in the form of a solution or a prepolymer or precondensate can be applied. the Selecting the glue will therefore turn out to be easier With regard to the permissible operating temperature of the insulating material and let the lacquer impregnation of the carrier film be carried out.
However, it is also possible to change the occupancy with the animal position of the impregnated carrier to connect and sprinkle the mica when the surface layer the resin impregnation has not yet hardened and is still sticky.
2e ist auch möglich, zum Schutz der Bele- gung eine weitere imprägnierte Trägerbahn aufzubringen.nls frlz: germaterial can be used, depending on the intended permissible thermal load of the insulating material, paper, textile fabric, glass silk fabric or plastic material. An excess amount can be spread. Will now be the carrier. If the web is deflected after leaving the heating table, excess mica will fall off the completely covered web. ra no loss of mica is to be expected. Excess mica therefore does not lead to an uneven surface due to mica heaps. The scattering thickness can be very uniformly set: The used mica laminates prepared according to the erfindungegemäßen methods can in a conventional @yeise to laminates or preßetoffen connected and deformed depending on the application: only the simple laminate of a direct use are supplied to target, one can by Apply a layer of varnish to protect the mica coating from damage. For this, see the usual synthetic resin-based insulating varnishes. 2e it is also possible to apply a further impregnated carrier web to protect the covering.
