Der bekannte Rahmen weist jedoch den Nachteil auf, daß sich die Profilaußenverkleidung praktisch nur in einzelnen Abschnitten montieren läßt, da die erforderliche Verbiegung der Schenkel bei der bekannten Form des Grundprofils auf der ganzen Länge des Verkleidungsprofils möglich sein muß. In die Fugen zwischen die einzelnen Abschnitte kann Wasser eindringen, was zu einer Zerstörung des hölzernen Grundprofils führen kann.
