Description
The invention relates to the delivery of regenerators for industrial furnaces, in particular glass tank furnaces.
60 to 90 ° / own corundum stones, silimanite stones and basic stones delivered. In recent times a basic lining has been used to an increasing extent, since basic stone materials are generally better able to cope with the ever increasing demands than acid stone materials or those based on alumina or alumina silicates. It has been shown, however, that basic bricks in some regenerators in a temperature range below 1000 ° C., in particular in the range from 1000 to 600 1 C 1, have a poorer durability than at higher temperatures. This is due to an attack on the refractory bricks by SO. This phenomenon is also observed in the steel industry, albeit less often, because, on the one hand, their regenerators are not particularly long-lived and, on the other hand, many of these furnaces are preferably heated with low-sulfur fuels in view of the purity of the steel Extensive use of cheap heating oils with a high sulfur content, which often results in considerable difficulties when using basic lattices due to attack by SO., On the pericles of the basic material with the formation of MgSO 1 . formation only occurs when an air excess, and still further suitable catalysts, such as vanadium pentoxide or arsenic trioxide are present. such catalysts may, for. example, already by the fuel oil ashes (V 2 O 5, as., 0., etc.) or , especially in the glass industry, can also be brought in through the feed material, e.g. when used nding of As., O ; 1 as a refining agent. But the attack by sulfur trioxide may further cause, Zerstörunnen be caused in the part of a built up from basic material checker that is located at a temperature in the above range of less than 100O 1 C, in particular 600 to 1000 C. These consist in the fact that cavities are initially formed, which in turn lead to the collapse of the unaffected layers of gilthwork above them

Dabei zeigte sich, daß inIn the course of preparatory work for the present invention, investigations were carried out on the behavior carried out by various refractory materials in regenerators. It was found that in
Eine gewisse Temperaturwechselbcständigkeit ist aber für die Brauchbarkeit von Regeneratorsteinen eine unabdingbare Voraussetzung.the usual magnesite chrome stones, with which regenerator grids are often lined up, the chrome ore areas are not attacked by SO. In stones based on mixtures of magnesia and chromite, only a reaction of free MgO with SO., With the formation of MgSO 1, is observed. On the basis of this circumstance, stones which are composed only of chromite without the addition of magnesia should therefore withstand attack from SO. But now baked stones that only consist of chromite, z. B. stones made of 33 "ti chromite with a grain size of 2 to 4 mm, 33 ° υ chromite with a grain size of 0.5 to 2 mm, 34 υ u chromite with a grain size of 0 to 0.5 mm and about l" o dry sulphite waste liquor and l ° i Water as a binding agent, although it has a good cold compressive strength of about 700 to ( ) 00 kg'cm 2 and favorable porosity values of about 10 to 15 "Zo, but has absolutely no resistance to temperature changes and bursts even when suddenly removed from a heated to 1000 ° C Furnace. A certain resistance to temperature changes is, however, an indispensable prerequisite for the usefulness of regenerator stones.
The invention now aims to address these disadvantages, which were previously encountered with the use of basic Stone material in the grilles of the regenerators of industrial furnaces and especially in glass furnace furnaces revealed to eliminate.
Für den Erhalt bester Ergebnisse soll der Chromil in einer Körnung von 0 bisIt has been found that this goal can be achieved if unfired chromite stones containing a certain binding agent are used for the lining. Accordingly, the invention relates to a lining of regenerators for industrial furnaces, in particular glass tank ovens, using chromite stones, this lining being characterized in that the grating in the area, which is heated to a temperature of up to 1000 C, is made of unfired chromite stones, the phosphoric acid or contain phosphates as binders. Preferably phosphoric acid used is suitably in dilute form (diluted 1: 1) was used and should then be included in amounts of 1 to 5 0 Zn, preferably about 0 to 2 in the stones. The phosphates can be used in the same amounts. If necessary, sulphite waste liquor can also be present as a binder in addition to the phosphoric acid or the phosphates. For the best results, the Chromil should be in a grain size from 0 to
6 mm, vorzugsweise 0 His 4 mm, vorliegen.6 mm, preferably 0 His 4 mm, are present.
The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the following example, without, however, referring to this particular one Example to be limited.
Für den Aufbau der Steine wurde Chromit folgender Korngröße verwendet:Chromite of the following grain size was used to build the stones:
33,3 % Chromit 2 bis 4 mm33.3% chromite 2 to 4 mm
33,3 % Chromit 0,5 bis 2 mm33.3% chromite 0.5 to 2 mm
33,4% Chromit 0 bis 0,5 mm33.4% chromite 0 to 0.5 mm
This Chromitfraktionen were washed with 1 ° / o dry sulfite waste liquor, and 2.0 0 O dilute phosphoric acid: intimately mixed and formed into blocks, which then were dried (1: 1).
Bei Verwendung von türkischem Chromerz hatten die Steine folgende Zusammensetzung:When using Turkish chrome ore, the stones had the following composition:
SiO2 3,28%SiO 2 3.28%
Fe2O3 14,04%Fe 2 O 3 14.04%
AI2O3 14,03 %AI 2 O 3 14.03%

MgO 20,30%MgO 20.30%
P2O5 0,81%P 2 O 5 0.81%

Die Eigenschaften dieser Steine waren wie folgt:The properties of these stones were as follows:

to 1165° C to 1165 ° C
ta 13800C ta 1380 0 C
;B 1595° C ; B 1595 ° C
The stones used according to the invention hold if they are not heated to more than 1000 ° C what with the proposed delivery of the lower layers of the grid, the only temperatures Reaching from around 600 to 1000 ° C is not the case, over 50 air quenching. This is an essential difference compared to burned chromite stones, which have a very poor resistance to temperature changes exhibit.
