Description
KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
It is well known that in recent times it has been used in breweries to filter the mash Filter presses, whose good mode of operation, in particular, from the use of an inlet pipe depends, the free cross-section is dimensioned so that the individual chambers the press very quickly and evenly with the mash running with a natural gradient can fill. These requirements are met by the filter press frame forming the subject of the invention, the one at the inlet point has a sprue, which due to its special training of the entering Mash presents a large, non-decreasing cross-sectional width.
Auf der Zeichnung ist der Erfindungsgegenstand durch The subject of the invention is shown in the drawing
Fig. ι in Ansicht dargestellt.Fig. Ι shown in view.
Fig. 2 ist ein Schnitt nach Linie A-B und Fig. 3 ein Schnitt nach Linie C-D in Fig. 1.FIG. 2 is a section along line AB and FIG. 3 is a section along line CD in FIG. 1.
Der Rahmen α ist mit einem Anguß b The frame α is with a sprue b
Through this hollow sprue, the inflowing mash enters the interior of the frame, which, when the press is assembled, is closed on both sides by plates, so-called ribbed bodies, over which the filter cloths lie, so that a filter chamber is created from which the filtrate drains through suitable openings . By raising the sprue, it is achieved that the mash meets the requirement of entering the filter chamber with a natural gradient, and that the inlet channel is also completely emptied. So that the mash is presented with a free cross-section that is at least as large as that of the circular inlet c , the continuation of the inlet channel into the filter chamber is such. made that the cross-sectional width c is maintained everywhere. This is achieved in that a recess is provided almost on the entire circumferential surface of the bore c , which, as can be seen from the sections in FIGS. 2 and 3, is significantly widened with respect to the diameter of the inlet opening c. The course of the recess, which continues in a channel-like manner into the cavity of the frame, can be seen from the dotted lines in FIG. 1. The new framework therefore allows filter presses to be built in which the chambers of the press can fill quickly and evenly with the mash running at a natural gradient due to the raised inlet and the presence of an inlet cross-section that is not reduced under any circumstances.
