Description
- Filter zum Entfernen von Dämpfen, Rauch und Fremdgasen aus der Luft Die Entfernung von Dämpfen, z. B. von unvollständig verbrannten Abgasgemischen aus Ottomotoren, Gasturbinen, Dieselmotoren, ebenso wie die Entduftung von Kühlschränken, Toiletten und verrauchten oder vergasten Räumen, auch Kleiderschränken ist eine sehr wichtige Aufgabe der Technik.
- Bekanntlich werden seit langem Gasmaskenfiltereinsätze bzw. ganze Behälter für derartige Zwecke, bei einmaligem Gebrauch, verwendet. Bislang wurden hierzu Kohlefilter und belegte Filtersteine benutzt, die nach Gebrauch jeweils wieder umständlich regeneriert werden können.
- Es wurde nun gefunden, daß feinporige, hydrophile, offenzellige Kunststoffschäume, die ein hohes Wasserhalte- und -tragevermögen besitzen, geeignete Träger für katalytisch wirkende anorganische Redoxgruppen sind. Diese Kunststoffschäume können so hergestellt werden, daß die katalytisch wirkende Redoxgruppen enthaltenden Stoffe in einem Arbeitsgang eingebaut werden.
- Diese katalytisch wirkenden Redoxgruppen, z. B. ein mit Pottasche versetztes Cupromanganat oder Ferromanganpaar, stellen bekannte Redoxgruppensysteme dar, die in Gegenwart von Wasser die giftigen oder übel riechenden Stoffe mit Hilfe von Luftsauerstoff in ungiftige, meist nicht riechende Stoffe verwandeln.
- Durch Waschen mit Seife oder auch durch wiederholtes Spülen mit warmer Pottaschelösung können diese Kunststoffschäume wieder regeneriert werden und zeigen im praktischen Gebrauch eine langjährige Haltbarkeit.
- Beispiel 1 125 Gewichtsteile eines polymeren Produktes aus Äthylendiamin mit Propylenoxyd und Äthylenoxyd und 125 Gewichtsteile eines Polypropylenoxyd-äthylenoxyd-Mischproduktes werden mit 25 Gewichtsteilen 10 obiger Schwefelsäure neutralisiert, mit 50 Gewichtsteilen Montmorillonitpulver (Bentonit), 15 Gewichtsteilen Dehydroaluminiumsilikat eines Molekularsiebes, 3 Gewichtsteilen Wasser, 2 Gewichtsteilen Zinndioktoat, 9,6 Gewichtsteilen Kaliumpermanganat, 6,9 Gewichtsteilen basisches Kupfercarbonat versetzt und bis zur gleichmäßigen Mischung verrührt und auf 20"C eingestellt. Zu dieser Mischung werden in einem Intensivmischer 60 Gewichtsteile Toluylendiisocyanat gegeben, bis zur sahnigen Beschaffenheit gerührt und in ein kühlbares Gefäß gegossen. Hierbei bildet sich rasch ein leichter elastischer Schaum, der bei etwa 500 C und einer Stunde Verweilzeit im Trockenschrank ausgehärtet ist.
- Der fertige elastische Schaumblock wird noch warm zu Platten geschnitten und in Wasser gelegt. Nach Istündiger Wässerung werden die Platten zwischen Gummiwalzen abgequetscht und sind nun einsatzbereit.
- Beim Gebrauch ist stets darauf zu achten, daß die schwammartige Platte sich stets noch feucht anfühlt.
- Sie kann mit Seife und Wasser ausgewaschen werden und regeneriert sich immer wieder.
- Beispiel 2 1000 Teile eines Polyvinylchlorid-Acetat-Mischpolymerisates (85:15) werden mit 460 Teilen Dioctylphthalat, 200 Teilen Fettalkylpolypropylenoxyd-phenyläther, 50 Teilen Mangandioxyd, 30 Teilen Kupfer(I)-oxyd, 15 Teilen Kobaltoxyd, 5 Teilen Silberoxyd und 200 Teilen Aluminiumsilikat (Zeolith oder Molekularsieb oder Aktiv-Bentonit) zu einer Paste angerieben und in einem Druckgefäß mit Kohlendioxyd und Stickstoff bei 50 atü gesättigt.
- Vor dem Verdüsen bzw. Verschäumen werden auf 100 Gewichtsteile etwa 5 Gewichtsteile einer Säure mit 12 bis 18 C-Atomen, bei der die Carboxylgruppe an einem tertiären C-Atom steht, zugesetzt und dann die Masse durch Wärme beim Entspannen koaguliert.
- Die entspannte Schaumbahn wird in einer Natronlaugewanne bei 80 bis 90"C verseift, gewaschen, ausgequetscht und getrocknet. Es entsteht ein hydrophiler Schaum, der bis zu 600 C Temperatur Kohlenoxyd leicht zu Kohlendioxyd oxydiert und als Abgasfilter in Auspufftöpfen usw. verwendet werden kann.

- Patentanspruch : Filter zum Entfernen von Dämpfen, Rauch und Fremdgasen aus der Luft, bestehend aus offenzelligen, feinporigen, hydrophilen Kunststoff- schäumen, in denen anorganische Redoxsysteme inkorporiert sind. ~~~~~~~ In Betracht gezogene Druckschriften: Deutsche Patentschrift Nr. 946396.
