The invention relates to a fuel injection device for internal combustion engines with one of the machine-driven gear feed pump for a hydraulic medium and with a connected to the control element of the injection pump, responsive to excess pressure of the hydraulic medium Actuator with which the control element when the machine starts backwards in the sense of shutdown the fuel supply to the cylinders can be actuated, with the actuator acting on the pressure in the line between a check valve that opens in the normal conveying direction and the feed pump inlet side appeals to.
In such a known fuel injection device, a valve is used in the hydraulic circuit used, which opens at a certain pressure for security reasons. The disadvantage is with the known device that not always a sufficiently high pressure is available to the To adjust the control rod to the zero delivery position and also to the direct dependency between the control rod position and valve open state is missing. The additional pressure medium circuit results in high manufacturing costs.
The object of the invention is to overcome the disadvantages inherent in the known fuel injection device to avoid making this device so in particular simpler, namely that a no additional closed pressure medium circuit is required.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the hydraulic medium is the fuel and that the actuator is designed as a normally closed pressure relief valve so that when the engine starts backwards, the fuel is called back to a storage tank allows.
The invention has the advantage that there is no need for an additional closed pressure medium circuit. This results in considerable simplifications, less maintenance and a reduction in manufacturing costs. In terms of control technology, there is an essential advantage that the control of the relief valve by the actuator is more favorable than the obvious provision of another, any valve that opens at a certain pressure for safety reasons than always First, a sufficiently high pressure as a force to adjust the control rod to the zero delivery position is available and a direct dependency between control rod position and valve opening state given is.

It is known to use the fuel as a control medium in devices to prevent the Reverse running of internal combustion engines by adjusting or holding the control rod in the zero delivery position, but this is not the case a fuel injection device with the features mentioned at the beginning.
An advantageous embodiment of the invention is that the pressure relief valve to one the reservoir side of the check valve connected pressure relief channel dominated.
Die Erfindung wird an einem Ausführungsbeispiel erläutert. Es zeigtThe invention is explained using an exemplary embodiment. It shows

The injection pump 12 has a control rod 13 which can be moved in the longitudinal direction in order to regulate the amount of fuel supplied by the injection pump. The injection pump is coupled to a diesel engine so that it supplies fuel sequentially from its outlet 61 to the cylinders of the engine. The injection pump is driven by the camshaft 62.

The control rod 13 is in turn controlled by a centrifugal governor 63 which controls the control rod 13 (as shown in Fig. 2) with increasing engine speed moves to the right, causing the piston the injection pump to decrease the amount of fuel it supplies. If the speed of the motor drops, the control rod 13 is pushed to the left to increase the amount of to increase fuel supplied by the injection pump. The control rod 13 is provided with an extension piece 14, which is screwed into the end of the control rod 13 and through a lock nut 15 is held in position. The extension piece 14 has a rounded end 16, which rests against the abutment part 17 and forms part of the unit 11. Part 17 has the shape a piston which can be reciprocated in a bore 18 and is actuated by means of a helical compression spring 19 pressed to the right (as can be seen from Fig. 1), the movement of the part 17 by Action of the spring 19 by striking a connecting piece 21, which is carried by the part 17, against the screw socket 22, which closes one end of the bore 18, is limited. The room 23 in the bore 18 is connected to the output side of a gear pump via the lines 24, 43, which has two gear wheels 26, 27 in the unit 11. The wheel 27 is mounted on a shaft 28, which is part of the camshaft 62 of the injection pump 12. The gear 26 is on a stub shaft 29 attached, which is rotatably received in a bore 31. The fuel passes through a Line32 (Fig.3) into the unit and runs through a line 42 therethrough to the inlet side of the gear pump. The line 24 is via a line 30, which has a constricting opening 39, with an outlet 33 in communication, which in turn over the lines 64, 65 and a filter 66 with the fuel inlet connection 67 of the injection pump 12 connected is.
The part 17 may have a portion 35 of considerably reduced diameter. If the If the engine is not running, the extension 14 of the control rod 13 strikes against the section 35 of the part 17. The control rod 13 is then further to the left than its position shown in Fig. 2, and as a result, the Fuel injection pumps deliver an excess of fuel supply, as the engine does when Start required. The part 17 has, as shown at 38, a tapered shape, so that the control rod 13 as a result (as shown in Fig. 2) gradually is moved to the right as soon as the speed of the motor increases downwards and further, provided, of course, that the engine continues to run at full load so that the governor does the extension 14 holds the control rod in contact with part 17.
A pressure relief valve 34 is provided between outlet 33 and inlet 32. The valve 34 opens as soon as the applied pressure exceeds a predetermined value, thus preventing that the pressure at the outlet 33 reaches an excessive value.
Die Leitung 46 steht mit einer Ventilkammer 47 in Verbindung, die ein Ventilorgan 48The fuel is supplied to the inlet 32 via a valve 44 which is normally open to allow the fuel to flow to the inlet 32 via the lines 45, 46. The line 46 is in communication with a valve chamber 47 which has a valve element 48
Has ίο, which in turn by a spring 49 in the in Fig. 3 illustrated position is pressed. If the machine starts in the wrong direction of rotation, the fuel is pumped back through inlet 32 under pressure. This opens the valve 44 closed and the fuel pressure in line 46 then actuates valve 48 to open a pressure relief passage 51 to open. During this actuation, the valve member 48 occurs with an engine stop member 52 in operative connection, which has a mechanical
