KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
Salze stark verunreinigt. ■■■-.■ -Sodium hydrosulphite is made according to the Schützen.nb er's method that has been used since then technically represented in such a way that one in bisulfite under event. Cooling the talking crowd. Zinc dust enters, and after the reduction, the zinc oxide from the solution removed by means of lime. In this representation, only about half of the im Bisulphite contained sulphurous acid and sodium and so on in hydrosulphurous acid salt transferred, the other part remains unused as sodium and zinc sulphate. Around to counteract the incomplete 'utilization of the bisulfite used to some extent proposed by the addition of mineral acids, in particular of. Sulfuric acid, from the neutral ones Sulphites to free the sulphurous acid and by adding more zinc dust to be reduced to hydrosulphurous acid (cf. patent specification 84507 by Grofsmaiin). You actually get. according to this patent specification about a. Third more hydrosulfite than on that ordinary. Kind; but the solution is less concentrated than ordinary hydrosulphite and also heavily contaminated by sulfuric acid salts. ■■■ -. ■ -
sammte angewendete. Bisulfit
übergeführt wird. :A process has now been found by which not only pure and highly concentrated solutions of hydrosulphite are obtained, but also by which one too
all applied. Bisulfite
is convicted. :
Dieses Verfahren besteht darin,' dafs man zu Lösungen von Salzen des Bisulfits, z.B. vonThis procedure consists in admitting it Solutions of salts of bisulfite, e.g. from
.adding almost the overall \ n hydrosulfite sodium, potassium, ammonium bisulfite, sulfurous acid in aqueous solution or in gaseous form initiates and enters the zinc dust only in said mixture, wherein zweckmäfsig the amount of added sulfuric acid is so dimensioned, that they corresponds to half of the total amount of sulphurous acid contained in the bisulfite used. This ensures that not only the whole amount of the alkali contained in the bisulphite is bound to hydrosulphurous acid and is therefore fully utilized, but that the formation of other contaminating salts is also avoided. .
' . Beispiel I.'. Example I.
Man läfst zum(Can be obtained from which, after the usual method practically as much resultirt hydrosulfite, thus DAF about 4.92 kg indigo just geküpt) 25 kg of sodium bisulfite 40 0 B. be with 54.1 kg of aqueous sulfuric acid of 4 0 B. (6 pCt.), or 25 kg of sodium bisulfite 40 ° B. 50.85 l of water are added and gaseous sulphurous acid is passed in until the increase in weight is 3.25 kg. Then added slowly with stirring to 4.2 kg of zinc dust and, through cooling for the temperature DAF between 30 to 40 0 C. ■: remains. After all the zinc dust has been added, stir for a while and then leave for ι to 2 hours. The liquid is then mixed with milk of lime made from 4.2 kg of quicklime and 20 liters of water and stirred well. You run to the
