The present invention relates to a further development of the thermoelectric snap switch according to patent application S 40465 VIIId / 2Ic 3, which in turn is a special design of the thermoelectric snap switch according to German patent 1153 815.
The subject of the additional patent application is a thermoelectric snap switch with a through the current stretchable tensioning member, which is on a thereby snap-on, preformed, on a Support bracket attached plate is attached and centrally carries a contact, which is characterized is that the contact of the tendon with an isolated on the conductive, angled Support bracket attached fixed contact cooperates.
It has proven to be expedient to have a separate contact from the main contact in such snap-action switches Provide contact if the switch is to switch two separate circuits. This is from of particular importance when the thermoelectric snap-action switch is used as a periodic breaker in Flashing systems are used, for example, by motor vehicles, since it is necessary to do so at the same time as the Flasher to operate a control lamp that the correct functioning of the flasher z. B. to be checked on the dashboard of the car.
For this purpose, according to the invention, on one of the plate corners to which the tendon is attached is arranged, a further contact, which is arranged with one on the base plate of the switch Permanent contact works together. The additional contacts are expediently designed so that they only with a prescribed expansion of the tendon, but before that caused by it Snapping over the plate come into contact with each other.

F i g. 9 einen Aufriß nach der Linie 10-10 der Fig. 8.F i g. 9 is an elevation along line 10-10 of FIG. 8.
In Fig. 1 is with 10 a rectangular resilient Plate of the snap switch according to the main patent, which runs along the diagonal rope, 12 at 15 Has deformations which are interrupted in the middle and only up to the vicinity of the plate corners are sufficient. The face of the plate is in its residual stress or disconnected state on either side these deformations bent slightly downwards, so that they have the shape of an inverted one in these zones V, while the areas free from the deformations are almost flat. On the slightly bent down Panel corners 11, 12 is the tendon 30 ζ. B. fastened by spot welding. Is the Plate under tension by the tendon 30, then it has a substantially concave bend whose The apex runs along the line 16, 17. The plate is held by the Z-shaped plate carrier 20, with which it is mechanically connected near the center of one of its long sides.
Auf diesem Z-förmigen Plattenträger 20 ist, wie F i g. 2 und 3 zeigen, im mittleren Teil eine bandförmige Isolierschicht23 (Fig. 2) und über dieserOn this Z-shaped plate carrier 20, as shown in FIG. 2 and 3 show a band-shaped in the middle part Insulating layer 23 (Fig. 2) and over this

This fixed contact 25 cooperates with the movable contact 35 attached to the clamping member. The free end of the plate carrier 20 is fastened to an electrically non-conductive bearing plate 40 by means of a rivet 41 together with a contact tab 42. The contact tab is used to connect the carrier to a power line 46; Another contact lug 33 fastened to the bearing plate 40 by means of a rivet 34 is used to connect the metal strip 24 to a power line 43.
As shown in FIG. 2 and 4 can be seen, the switch characteristics are selected so that the contacts 25 and 35 are closed in the contracted, cold state of the clamping member 30. The middle part of the tensioning element carrying the contact 35 is therefore pressed inwardly towards the leaf spring 10. As Fig. 2 shows, the tension member thus forms a flat V, and its tension in this way increases the force with which the contacts 25 and 35 are pressed against one another.
As the Fi g. 2 to 7 show, in an embodiment of the invention, a contact strip 60 is attached to one of the corners of the plate 10 to which one end of the tendon 30 is attached. This contact strip is L-shaped and engages with its free end 61 between the resilient end 56 of a contact strip 55 and the bearing plate 40. The contact strip 55 is attached to the bearing plate 40 together with a contact tab 36 by a rivet 37 . In the state of the snap switch shown in Figure 2 , the plate 10 is deformed by the tension of the clamping member 30, so that the contacts 25 and 35 are closed; the leg 61 of the contact strip 60, however, lies at a distance from the end 56 of the contact strip 55, so that this contact pair is open.
Eine Leitung 47 verbindet die Kontaktfahne 36 und damit den gerätefesten Kontakt 55 mit der geerdeten Kontrollampe PL. 4 to 7 give an example of the operation of the thermoelectric snap switch according to the invention. According to FIG. 4 is a ge grounded battery 44 is connected via a signal lamp switch 45 with the contact lug 33 and thus through the line 43 with the strip 24 and the contact 25. A line 46 connects the contact lug 42 and thus the plate 10 and the bracket 20 to parallel grounded signal lamps SL-I and SL-2. A line 47 connects the contact lug 36 and thus the device-fixed contact 55 with the grounded control lamp PL.
As shown in FIG. 2 and 4 can be seen, the switch parameters are chosen so that the contacts 25 and 35 are in the contracted, cold state of the clamping member, for. B. a wire 30, and the position of the parts is such that the central part of the wire 30 with the contact 35 inwardly on the plate 10 is printed. The wire is thus given the shape of a flat V, as shown in FIG. 2 shows, and its tension increases the contact pressure of contacts 25 and 35.
When switch 45 is closed, current flows from battery 44 via switch 45, line 43, band 24 and contact 25 to contact 35 in the middle of wire 30. Here the current branches through both halves of wire 30 and flows parallel to the points 31 and 32 of the plate 10. The current flows through the plate 10 to the support bracket 20 and further through the rivet 41 to the terminal 42 and through the line 46, the resistor 47 and the switch 48 to the other side of the current source. The current through the wire 30 causes it to be heated and expanded, the wire preferably being "Nichrome" wire. As the wire is expanded and lengthened, the tension exerted by the wire eventually drops below the amount of kinetic energy stored on the plate 10 and the plate snaps back to its original position
ίο bzw. Daraufhin beginnt der Vorgang aufs neue.ίο or »restored« situation. Through this the wire 30 is pulled up relative to the bracket 20 and the contacts 25 and 35 snap apart and interrupt the electricity. The wire 30 then cools down and contracts again. As soon as the tension exerted by the contraction of the wire is on retention the original position of the plate 10 exceeds directed forces, the plate snaps back into the Bending position along the line 16, 17, in which the wire 30 snaps onto the bracket 20 and the contacts 25, 35 closes. The process then begins again.
Die ursprüngliche Lage der Teile ist schematisch in F i g. 4 dargestellt und entspricht der in F i g. 2The original position of the parts is shown schematically in FIG. 4 and corresponds to that in FIG. 2
as gezeigten Stellung des Schalters bzw. Unterbrechers. As shown position of the switch or breaker. It should be noted that the connection of the battery 44 to the terminal 33 is only an optional arrangement and the connection of the terminals 33 and 42 could be reversed so that the battery 44 with the terminal 42 and the lamps SL-I, SL-2 are connected to terminal 33. This reversal would result in a somewhat different mode of operation of the control lamp PL, as further below in connection with FIG. 7 is explained. In the arrangement according to FIG. 4, the lamps SL-I and SL-2 are connected to voltage when the switch 45 is closed. As a result of the bending of the plate 10 along the line 16-17 , the corners 11, 12 of the plate are lowered and thus the contacts 55 and 60 are separated. The control lamp PL is therefore not illuminated. As the wire 30 heats up, it expands and the corners 11, 12 move upwards.
Diese Stellung zeigt F i g. 6.Should only one of the signal lamps SL-I or SL-2 be on, the current through the wire 30 would not be sufficient to cause the plate to snap back into its original position due to the energy stored in it. By means of a suitable initial spacing of the contacts 55 and 60 it can be achieved that these remain separated during an only partial heating of the wire 30 and the resulting partial movement of the plate 10 towards its original position. This state is shown in FIG. 5, where the plate has only moved slightly towards its original position, since the current through the wire 30 is reduced as a result of the failure of a signal lamp. If the control lamp does not light up for a longer period of time, this indicates a fault in the signal circuit.
If, however, both signal lamps are on, the wire expands further and the plate 10 flattens accordingly further so that the corners 11, 12 move upwards enough to close the contacts 55, 60 for switching on the control lamp PL. This position is shown by FIG. 6th
Infolgedessen werden dieAs the wire 30 is further heated and expanded, the energy in the plate 10 exceeds the wire tension and the plate snaps back to its original position. As a result, the
Während die Kontakte 55, 60 infolge der vollständigen Aufwärtsbewegung der Ecken 11, 12 geschlossen bleiben, erlischt die Kontrollampe PL infolge der Stromlosigkeit durch Öffnen der Kontakte 25, 35.Contacts 25 and 35 torn apart and open the circuit of the signal lamps and the heating circuit of the wire 30. While the contacts 55, 60 remain closed due to the complete upward movement of the corners 11, 12, the control lamp PL goes out due to the currentlessness by opening the contacts 25, 35 .
However, if the line connections to terminals 33 and 42 are reversed as in FIG. 4, the control lamp PL remains energized, since this is placed directly on the plate 10 via the bracket 20.
In any case, the contacts 55, 60 remain closed in the original position of the plate 10. To adapt to the relatively large movement of the corners 11 and 12 is one or are both contacts 55, 60 designed to be resilient in order to remain in connection over a longer period of time. According to FIG. 7, the wire 30 begins to cool and contract, so that its tension at Reaching a certain value the resistance of the plate 10 exceeds and this in the position according to F i g. 2 and 4 snapped. The process then repeats itself again.
The F i g. 8 and 9 illustrate another embodiment of the additional contacts according to the invention. 11 with the corner of the plate 10 is referred to, on which one end of the clamping member 30 engages. Vicinity At this corner a short, straight rod 60 'is welded to the plate and extends away from the plate. This rod 60 'forms the movable contact and works together with a Z-shaped contact rod 55', which is welded to the rivet 37 of the contact tab 36. The operation of the contacts 60 'and 55 'is the same as described for contacts 55 and 60 above. From the economic point of view this construction according to FIGS. 8 and 9 of that according to FIG. 2 and 3 for their simplicity preferable.
The invention therefore makes the snap movement of the plate 10 to create a simplified one Pilot lamp control for circuit breaker use. The arrangement corresponds all common requirements for control lamp controls including the error display and achieves this through an inexpensive and extremely simple construction.
